But seriously, folks, Jeff and Missy's engagement got me thinking about how YOU would do your proposal, or how you'd want to be proposed to. Or, if you're already married, how you proposed.

I have some ideas in my head about my future, but I'm going to keep them close to my chest for the time being. I know I wouldn't do it in public like a sports game or something like that, but let's just say I have... ideas.

hmmm..

i like corny-ness- hot air balloon, on the beach at night, blah blah blah- stuff like that

i mean if i had a say- which i know is impossible- somewhere private, quiet, and romantic

im not too keen on valentines day, christmas, birthdays, etc.... that just seems so obvious...


id also want my guy to be traditional in that he asks for my hand and stuff like that....

and have him be an observer of what my jewlery style and tastes are in picking out what he feels would be perfect...

i think its cute when you hear about a guy who turns into a bumbling fool trying to ask the question- its sweet and you get to see/ hear about his vulnerable side of a guy

also it is really hard to surprise me and knowing my friends and my dad MY proposal would probably not be a surprise since no one would keep their mouth shut

it would have to be a very cool day with my chick- hit great adventure, get a room at mohican sun with a night of gambling, and after i popped the question we'd hit a contact dance strip club to celebrate. i'm sure she'd be down; not sure if it's feasible.

my plan was:

we had been dating close to two years and her birthday was coming up on Jan 8th. we both knew 'without saying it' that each other were 'the one'... so christmas and new years went by but 'no ring'... so now her birthday rolls around and i didn't even get her a card or a gift and i knew she's be a little pissed... it was four or five days after her birthday when i got to her apt before she did(she lived with her mom) and i had a wrapped up big box and a wrapped up little box... i told her to open the little box first, which happened to be a pair of earrings my mom got her but I wanted her to 'assume' it may be the ring (I know what you girls are saying "what a dick")

now in the big box i had the ring and it's box at the very bottom under a huge amount of tissue paper. so she opened the box and began to pull out tissue after tissue until the little ring box was revealed. (she was probably thinking two things, there is either nothing in the box or there is an engagement ring) she opened it and i asked her to marry me 'in front of her mom' ...

I'm not sure where I'd like it to happen. all I know is that I'd want it to be super sweet and private. I don't want it to be where all these people would be staring at me.

Maybe somewhere down by the shore on the sand while having a little picnic while the sun sets...i always love being by the water, it's so peaceful. just as long as it's just the two of us, it would be perfect.
