SO Im watching the re-run on the news tonight and theres a story of how the city passed a new law that past a certain time , and being that its Florida that means 11PM, Clubs and bars will be checked for noise levels over 85db. Now thos law was passed in the heart of Tampa Bays party city AKA Ybor City. Bassically compaired to like 3 city blocks in NYC. SO the new law says you cant have yopur noise over 85dbb. The news said in comparison to 85db's your refridorator runs at about 82db's. So how in god fucking name are you going to keep a bar or club at a level of 80db's???? Heres the story:
From now on, business owners will have to keep it down in Ybor City. Last November, Tampa city councilmembers approved a controversial noise ordinance. Thursday night, it took effect. Police are now patrolling the area with meters looking for music that's louder than 85 decibels. People in the entertainment district argue turning the music down will take away business. However, residents in the area complain the noise was just too much. Also, some police officers say it made it hard for them to hear their radios and communicate with each other. Those who violate the ordinance will get fined up to $500. If they're caught a second time, the disc jockey, the manager, and the business owner will go to jail.
