To all those tattoo fans in the forums (i KNOW you're out there) there's a contest going on at Tattoodles.com (http://www.tattoodles.com) where artists have submitted some designs and the forum members are voting which design they like best. The winning artist with the most votes gets an amazing tattoo machine.

To see full size designs and print them you have to be a paying member, but to vote on the contest, you just have to sign up for the forums which is free!

I just figure there's gotta be some tattoo lovers out there who would wanna check it out!

Tattoos have recently fallen into the "lame trend" category. Sucks, but it's true.

no it didnt. certain types sure, but tats as a whole? no way. tribal is corny...especially when you;re a guido in a muscle shirt. lower back tattoos on girls are kind of sexy but at this point thats like saying a girl with a vagina is sexy because every girl has one. and anyone with a panther crawling anywhere on your body in this type of pose:

the panther tattoo is apparently is every guy's starter tattoo and looks dumb....but only because EVERYONE has one.

I'm a tattoo artist, and panthers will NEVER NOT BE COOL. Nobody gets them anymore because they think everyone has them, but really, I can't remember the last time i tattooed one. Its just becuase the panther has become one of those iconic tattoo symbols along with the heart and rose, daggers, and snakes.

Fads in tattooing are stupid because the popularity wanes while the ink maintains. the fads that come and go, (the tribals, the chinese lettering, thug old english lettering, pitbull portraits on thugs) all these things will go by the wayside once again, just not soon enough.

It never should have ridden along with body piercing, becuase while both change a body, only one is there for the duration. Holes come and go, but tattoos are here to stay. The permanence of tattoos seems to be ignored alot of the time and replaced with the novelty of accessorizing.

i like the nautical star and deep cross. if you know any good places in jersey that do cover up work i'm open to suggestions. i got some shitty work done when i was about 15 and am almost ready to take a sandbelt to it to get rid of it.

Well, being from the shore area/Monmouth county, I would suggest Fat Kat Tattoo in Aberdeen (Nate is pretty damn cool...He did a bunch of stuff on me.) there's also Body Art World in Point Pleasant. There's an artist named Mike Schweigert there, and Tom Yak might still be there as well. i don't know them personally, but Both are phenomenal.
