I used to live in a building that had a cool gym in the basement but then I bought a house so now Ive been lookin for a good gym to join around the Brooklyn area. By good gym I mean one that wont harass you, screw you over when you try to cancel you membership, allows you to use the equipment without any/many restrictions...and of course, one that is pretty cheap. I dont need classes or a personal trainer or anything...Any suggestions?

Look into the Local YMCA. They usually have cheap prices (like 1/2 the price of a regular gym). They have decent equipment. Just make sure you get a temp memebership and go at the time you would normally work out to make sure it is not to crowded. Also, I am not sure how old you are, but they offer college discounts. Even if you are not in college, you can usually get it.

Also, check out (if in NJ) a county college. I used to work out at Union County College. It was cheap, and hot chicks worked out there.
