View Full Version : Question For Webdesigners
I'm pretty new to web designing and I'm using dreamweaver. My problem is that when I layout my page graphics and pictures everything appears to be miss aligned when i preview the html. I need to work with precision and i dont have time to write out this whole page in Code. I love the ease of dreamweaver but everything I layout is not as it appears as what i did in dreamweaver.
Someone please let me know what I'm doing wrong...

What specifically is being misaligned? The text? Graphics? Everything?
Are you using tables, layers, or CSS (cascading style sheets), or something special on the page?
You're problem is a little vague. If you have the page online post it so we can look it over for suggestions to fix it.
If its your text and it's double spacing instead of single spacing, then you need to hold down on the shift key when you hit enter to go to the next line.
Other than that I'll need a little more of an idea of what's happening with the page.

can't post it but the problem has to do with mainly the background and the everything else lining up... I've been using tables. The graphics have to line up with some stuff that is on the background layer. I've been putting everything into table and it looks all good in dreamweaver but when i preview it or save and view it nothing lines up. Even the text appears to be farther away from the graphics on the preview then what i have layed out in dreamweaver.
It's just so frustrating that the preview/ saved copy doesn't look like what i have layout in dreamweaver.

Just raw code with xhtml and css. You're probably running into resolution problems with Dreamweaver and I'm not even going to get into FrontPage.
