Does anybody know if you can select where you want the voting buttons to appear in an email ?

They seem to appear randomly ( possibly depending on how you have your toolbars arranged ).

I send things to people and they don't use the buttons because they show up in an obscure place that these computer illiterate jokers don't notice.

I've wondered the same thing and wasn't able to find anything that would allow you to move the Yes/No buttons anywhere but under the menu where they are usually overlooked. :o/ (Maybe put something in your message asking them to look to the top of the screen and vote.)

If you are into creating your own Outlook forms, (you may already know all this), there's a s-load of Outlook forms processing and design stuff out there for custom forms but you have to be fairly well versed in VB Scripting.

I've never really used the VB before but I'm starting to learn it.

Microsoft suggests that you put " Vote Yes/No " or something of that nature in the subject field.

VB6 is really easy. I use it to make forms for the office all the time. SAMS learn VB in 21 days or the 24 hour version are really helpful.

If you open a new message in Outlook, there should be an Options button in the message toolbar. If the feature is installed, there will be a voting option that allows you to send an eml with Yes/No or Agree/Disagree buttons at the top. So then you can send this out to a group or people.
When the recipient clicks the button it automatically replies with their response.

Then there's Outlook Forms.

To check this out, open a new eml and click on Tools / Forms / Design This Form
Then click Form / Control Toolbox - you can add drop downs text boxes and all kinds of shit.
Then you can take all of the info you get back on the form and move it into Access or Excel but that gets pretty involved.

This (http://www.teamscope.com/aboutus/events.asp#oaxfer) is a good vendor for Outlook automation.
