I have a few questions, maybe someone would be kind enough to answer

Can someone please explain to me why there is Rude & Rude under my name?

Why when I choose a certain script to type in it just comes up in regular type?

How do I go about getting an avatar?

a) You have a rude and rude under your name because youre new. Once you get more posts, it will change to DotCommando, then Super Poster.

b) When you click the thing for a script, youre supposed to enter whatever you want to type where it says "text"

c) PM a mod about changing your Mod Quote

d) Why is this in this thread?

A-holes and Mariners are tied at 1.

Halos and Shitstompers are tied at 6...I'm too stoned to wait for results, but I'm sure I'll be dissapointed.

Sigh...go sawx.

Who is Karim Garcia?? I no respect heem.

The Astros deserve to win it. That's a badass fucking comeback-team.

Not a bad start for the Cubs in their last game against the Reds this series. Bottom of the second at Wrigley, and Prior has already had five K's for the Cubs. No score yet, but it's a helluva better pitching show than the Cubbies have managed to pull off for almost two weeks now.

Bottom of the 3rd and Prior has held the Reds to one hit and hit them with SEVEN strikeouts.

Noice!

Ugh.

It's all over, and I feel like I wanna die.

The inconsistencies are retarded. The hitting will be fantastic, but the pitching blows. Tonight, Prior holds the Reds to 3 hits and 1 run for 9 innings with SIXTEEN FUCKING STRIKEOUTS, but the Cubs can't hit for shit. Sosa even comes out of his slump and knocks two, including a home run, but nobody else is clicking. What the fuck?!?

I only went to two Cubs games this year, both in Pittsburgh against the Pirates, and they highlighted the team's inconsistent nature. First game they lose to nobodies like the Pirates, 8-2. Next day, they blow the Pirates out, 12-3.

BAH.

I'm not one to buy into "curses," but I remember a Sports Illustrated cover back in February that had Kerry Wood on the cover, and it said, "THE CUBS WILL WIN THE WORLD SERIES." Right when I saw that, I thought of the old SI cover-curse, and knew they were doomed.

MEH.

I honestly wept over the Cubs game today.

Down 5-1 going into the bottom of the 9th, Cubs battle back and make it 5-4 but can't clinch it.

4 in a row lost...worst losing streak all year, and it comes NOW.

I'm miserable.

Well, that's that. 5th lost game in a row for the Cubs, and they're officially elminated from the post-season. And I'm left with a bloody dent in my dining room wall where I gave it a good knock and split my knuckle open today after the 8-6 loss to the Braves.

One of the Cubs announcers, Steve Stone, took some heat the other day for chewing out GM Dusty Baker for the way the team ended up...but he was right. With the talent they had, they should have been 5-7 games up in the WC at this point, easy. They fucked up and couldn't get the pitching and hitting working in tandem.

Fuck.

Can we just give Vlad the AL MVP now. He just hit a two run homer to tie up their game against the A's. Here are his stats since last friday.

Yeah, management for the Mets, Orioles, and Marlins should all be killed for not signing this guy when they had the chance. Mets especially because they were unwilling to take the "risk" on this guy, yet they were more than happy to trade for Mo Vaughn a few years back after he had missed a full season. This is why teams that take risks on players like Vlad, Chris Carpenter, and Jose Lima succeed.

Damn Mojo I'm sorry that really blows for ya buddy...oh and the Angels beat the A's....so that means the A's won't make it...sorry Hasegawa....and the Dodgers got a grand slam to top off a 7 run 9th to beat the Giants and win the west...all I hope is that the Angels finish with a better record than the twins so the Yankees don't have to play them in the first round

A big FUCK you to Ed Wade. You piece of slime!

This flop this season was not Bowa's fault by any stretch. Bowa would be a blessing for the Mets and to be honest, I hope he goes there and succeeds. Now we are stuck with a deadbeat GM and a bunch of crybabies in the dugout who thought Bowa was too tough. Toughen up you babies and play some ball.

Sorry for the Cubs Mojo but they have been playing like garbage. You don't lose 5 of 6 to the Mets and Reds respectively.

Happy for the Dodgers jocefus and I will be rooting extra hard so they not only get past the first round but beat the Cardinals.

Sorry, Fallon, but he was about the only player on the team to stay consistent the last two months...when he wasn't injured.

But hey, I've been a Cubs fan for 25 years..."there's always next year" is my mantra at this point.

All I gotta say now is...GO ASTROS! Those guys played their asses off to make it, and deserve the win. Plus, I gotta root for the NL.

Well, last game for the Cubs this year, and they finally snap the losing streak and take down the Braves 10-8 with 15 hits...the offense they've been missing for the last week.

The game was on WGN today, and they had a whole two hours before the game lookig back on the season and shit, and watching the 15 minute highlight (and lowlight) real honestly got me choked up. It's been a long, emotional run, and man, I fucking love this team.

Can't wait 'til year, boys.

Not too bad. He's always been too "forced" for my taste in the booth. Sounds like he's doing an announcer character than actually being an announcer. I'm more concerned about losing Steve Stone...guy got shit from Dusty Baker for slamming the Cubs' shitty playing at the end, but hey, they guy was right. They fucked up.

I hope so. Alou proved right up until the end that they should keep him on for the one more year he wants to play...they should snag Nomar, too...and POUNCE on trading Sammy. Sammy's far from bad, but he's no longer at his peak, and sliding, and they could get 2-3 really solid, reliable hitters for him if they traded smartly. The Cubs have enough young power hitters to do without Sosa. Aramis Ramirez alone can hold the fort down without him.

My diagnosis? TRADE SOSA ASAP.

Sosa is to make $17 million next season and the club has an $18 million option for 2006 with a $4.5 million buyout. If Sosa is traded, his 2006 contract becomes guaranteed and a 2007 club option is added at $19 million with a $4.5 million buyout.

Sorry Mojo. I don't think anyone is trading for Sosa with 39.5 million minimum left on that contract.

We'll see.

Personally, I REALLY wanna seem him go after that bullshit he pulled during the Cubs' last game this season. Even if they do trade him, he's put in them in a shitty situation by pulling a stunt like that...and it's just such a dick move at the fans.
