Are they that different...I mean you have Cheney who's against gay marriage but has a lesbian daughter...you have Kerry saying that he's this good man and yet he's behind Whoopi as she's bashing Bush....they both seem to contradict themselves a lot..I mean I am so on the fence as to who to vote for it's ridiculous...I mean part of me wants to vote for Kerry because this country is so divided by some of the things that Dubya has done.....and the fact that when he owned the Texas Rangers Dubya did trade Sammy Sosa for Harold Baines.....you wanna leave the country in the hands of someone who approved that trade? But part of me wants to vote for Bush because Kerry comes from Massachusetts which legalized gay marriage which I am firmly against so I sort of think that if Kerry were to become president that that would be the movement toward national gay marriage which is nothing more than a complete crock of shit that shouldn't happen in the first place

You have bigger problems then worrying about who you should vote for.

How exactly does that not make him a "good man?" And how is he "behind" Whoopi? She's not running for office. SHE'S behind HIM.
And it's highly unlikely a Democratic president would try to legalize gay marriage, especially with Republicans controlling the House and the Senate. It's an issue that's propped up to be far more divisive than it actually is, and it's not worth the risk politicall for him to stick his neck out over it. In fact, if you even only paid the minimal amount of attention to what Kerry's said about gay marriage, it's VERY clear the man does not have the balls to legalize it nationally (Or the balls to really do ANYTHING substantially different from Bush, but that's another issue altogether...).
And out of curiosity, do you oppose homosexuals attempting to have equal use of the institution of marriage itself (ie-the traditional "Christian" ceremony in a church, etc.), or homosexuals able to just have a basic civil union declaring them to be officially "bonded" in the eyes of the government and law? Because both are somewhat different, and it is very misleading to label this (For anyone to do so, for or against it) as the "fight for gay marriage," since for the most part they simply want the option of having a civil union that's legally comparable to a heterosexual coupling. Being able to have a "stereotypical" wedding would more be the icing on the cake. Most would be happy with being able to get something that can be done like when a couple is married in a courthouse by a justice of the peace.

I hope you're joking. If this is what it boils down to for you, then you really need to open a newspaper.

Plus, it's really unfounded. I love the Cubs, and Sosa rules NOW...but THEN the guy swung at EVERYTHING. It was clear he had power, but he was striking out just as often as he'd get a hit. ANYONE would have traded him at the time...

Is this tied to the getting laid thread?
Don't worry, once elections are over, no matter which party wins, they'll find a way to screw you.

Don't you know by now that everything he and every Republican has every done or said is pure evil? Some Liberal you turned out to be. Today it's defending the Sammy Sosa trade, and next thing you know you'll be marching in the pro-life parades.
I can't even look at you now.

Yes Mikey I was joking.

Because Sammy went on to lead the Cubs to so many World Series Championships.
Now if Bush traded the Navy SEALS for the Iraqi Army, well THAT would be dumb.

The hell he does! Yeah, he's making a helluva lot more contact, but he's learned to wait and watch so much more than he did in the Ranger days, and his early days wth the Cubs. He's a much more patient hitter, and a smarter one, too. And that's only because the Cubs focused so much on his batting practice in the off-season back in the 90's.
I can't even look at you now.
