REAL STUPID computer question

I've seen this asked around somewhere but I can't find it.

When I type something into the google toolbar it opens in a new minimized window. wtf? I right clicked on IE and the window is set to run at Maximized....which is does but not when I click on a link(open in new window) or use the toolbar.

How do these settings get changed? It's working fine one day then the next things go haywire and I don't like it damn it!

Use Firefox from Mozilla... it has everything a person could want and no hassles with toolbars

I use IE V6.0. You mean there's other browsers to use? You think the problem is with IE? Doesn't everbody use that or am I out of the loop?

if the last window you close out in IE is minimized or has been manually resized smaller than the maximized setting, then the next window that you open up will be the same size of the window you closed out...

so, before you close out your last window in IE, maximize it and then close it. the next window that opens should be maximized...

If you go to options on the google toolbar and unclick the "Open A New Window" box, it will not open a new window at all. Unless you want it to, in which case I have been no help.

Ok I tried that Mozilla shit. It stinks and I don't like it. I guess I'm retarded but I couldn't figure it out. It wouldn't work for me. I uninstalled it and am back to old reliable.

Anyway, I tried what you all said and I still have the problem.

Had the same problem about a year ago. I downloaded IE Maximizer (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,22832,00.asp) and am happy as a clam.
