That was VERY good. The storyline was excellent, those hallucinations and flashbacks were completely original. The acting was great. I laughed, I came damn near close to crying at the end. It was superb.

Great show! They've been filming it on my block for the past few months. I have been hearing about it for a while and I think its a great show so far. The previews for the rest of the season looks really good too.

I really miss The Shield so Im really happy this came along.

I live in Rockaway. Both of the houses they live in are up the block from me and all the beach scenes are shot a few blocks away. Its very cool. They take up 3 or 4 blocks with all the trucks and stuff. They are very cool about letting the people around here watch them shooting.

Great show. I don't think it will get cancelled, FX is on a roll with The Sheild (which I don't watch, but hear is great), Nip/Tuck and now this. FX is the HBO of basic cable now (series wise).

The story about the kids skin and the girl and her cat. Damn.

Leary said the other day that they were up for renewel right after 9/11 and the network didn't want to show cops in unflattering light.

I hope this takes off for Leary. This isn't just some show to him. He has been doing things for firefighters for years and if this becomes a hit he'll be able to do even more. Plus, he seems like a nice guy.

The new DVD sets are great. They have an interview with Mike and Kevin on one of them where they are talking about that show. They say that there are many horrible movies that were too bad even for MST3K, including one about hillbilly incest. Volume 5 has Mike Nelson doing intros for all the episodes. The makers of Time Chasers actually came to Best Brains and told them they should do their movie. So Best Brains made the episode and invited the makers to a screening. And the screening didn't turn out too well. I don't know what the hell they expected.

Now they just gotta put The Final Sacrifice on DVD.

I got to say the scene with the ashes to the funeral was some classic rescue me funny ass shit. That whole 15 minutes was awesome.

All in all it was alright season with a decent ending. It is kind of hard to outdo yourself when you have some of the craziest seasons right off the bat.

It was an above average show with the first few seasons being the best. There was some damn funny scenes with all the guys talking about dumb shit, I am so glad they ended with that same feeling in the car ride to the funeral.

Sad that Lou bought it, but then I was expecting him to die of a heart attack during the series.Glad to see him (the real heart of the show; Tommy was the cock ) get to the final episode, what with the ghosts & flashbacks.

I enjoyed the episode as well.....the whole part where Garrity is over the ash box and he backs up past it while his pants are down was a riot.....its physically impossible!!!! hahaha that was a great cartoony moment if you caught it. haha

I really enjoyed the ending....the way they brought Lou back at the end was a nice touch and the "look back" moments before the commercials were actually cool. That intro was possibly the most griping five minuets of TV I've ever seen in my life. My only gripe is that I would have liked to see them put an end to that fire house though.....Its what I thought was going to happen all along with the promo clips for the season and everything slowly disappearing from the fire house. I would have liked to see them keep the crew together, but maybe in a different fire house. overall i loved this season and I really loved this show....I started watching around when season 3 aired, so I had to catch up and it really became one of my favorite shows.....I'm going to miss these characters.

While I believe this series is full of "bits that don't payoff", I'm thinking that with this minor storyline and all the shots of Needles and Feinberg together signified some passing of the torch type thing but they're both chiefs so I don't know.

I forget what happened with Franco's kid, but that ex-hooker that fucked Lou over showed up again in season 5 saying that she inherited a lot of money, feels bad about what she did and has turned her life around. They move in together and get married, but Lou finds out that she is using an alias and that she is still wanted for fraud. He empties her bank account taking back what she stole plus interest and calls the cops. He tells her to stay and wait for the cops if she's clean, and if not she better leave before the cops show up. she eventually leaves.
