I don't know if this has made it out of Boston to the other parts of the country but sports radio in Boston has been playing the hell out of a clip in which Kerry proclaims himself quite the Red Sox fan, singling out "Manny Ortez" for all of his accomplishments.

As if the stark resemblance to Herman Munster & horse-faced daughter wasn't bad enough, how could we vote a Saux fan into the power seat of the free world? A man who's life has been forged on a basis of rooting for a team that has delivered him nothing but pain & failure. I'm not giving him power to sit in front of a button that could vaporize a target at his whim...because I'm sure it's not that hard to program in the coordinates to the intersection of 161st Street & River Avenue.

No the true conspiracy was to remove the red sox fan and replace him with someone from Texas. Because Washington's baseball team was the Senators, and they had just left town for, you guessed it, Texas.
