I was up at 3 in the morning last night (as usual) and I was able to catch my two favorite episodes of the X-Files...the one where the huge fungus plant releases spores to put thier prey in a hallucinogenic state and digest them and the boy who needs to feed on brains.
What are your favorites, if any?

The HOME episode. When the inbreds start-a-killin'!
I also liked the Indian Shaman one. The little creature that rolled around on a board with wheel and would crawl up people asses.

I watched it last night, too. They showed the one where the alien is the negro league baseball player. That's not one of the best but it's fun. The inbreeding one is creepy. What song were they playing at the end when they are driving away? Wasn't it Elvis or something?

The one-shot episodes were always the best. I couldn't give a damn about the ongoing conspiracy, but those random singular episodes RULED.
My absolute favorite was the one with Bruce Campbell, where, I believe, he played some kind of demon or demon-hunter or something. It's been years since I saw it (And only that one time), but I remember absolutely loving it.
The two Toomes (The guy who murdered people and ate their livers, and could bend his body to fight through almost any size space) episodes were creepy as hell.
I really liked the one where Mulder changes bodies with Michael McKean.
And of course, the murder mystery in the town of circus freaks.
I never saw how this series ended up. I watched everything up through the movie, then "The Sopranos" started, and I gave up on "The X-Files." Was anything EVER solved or proven?

"The Unnatural" -- one of my favorites, one of the ones written by Duchovny.
The inbreeding one is creepy. What song were they playing at the end when they are driving away?
Tha InterWeb says it's "Wonderful! Wonderful!" by Johnny Mathis, sung by a soundalike.
I like the funny ones, like the one with the space cockroaches and the one with Charles Nelson Reilly. For scary ones, the lightning-boy one with Giovanni Ribisi is pretty freaky. (I'm also pretending I'm not a big geek and know the episode titles).
Incidentally, between Adult Swim and the damn 1 & 2am X-Files reruns, I'm not getting any damn sleep lately.

there was one called "Oshu" or something like that about a guy who could force people to kill themselves.
And of course, anything with "the lonegunmen"

The two episodes written by William Gibson were good.
And the final episode answered almost nothing.

I gave up on the series when they began to move Mulder and Scully in a romantic direction. To me, theres no reason why a man and a woman cant be working together without any romantic relationship developing, and when they went down that road, I lost interest in the show.

"Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space' " is the best.
Jessie Ventura and Alex Trebeck were Men in Black before Will Smith
