the first one was called VideoVision which was my home away from home for most of my life. It's where I really became the film dork I am today. Then it was closed and I switched to West Coast VIdeo which, while still a corporation, was better than Blockbuster. Then that closed and I was went to Hollywood Video.

Now I use this store called Couch Potato Video which, while it doesn't have the biggest collection I've seen, has the atmosphere that I like.

interestingly enough. Before West Coast Video became West Coast Video it was, in fact, called Palmer Video. Everything comes together in the end.

In my town we have glenville video, the video station and academy video. I don't know anyone who goes anywhere except academy (it sucks a fat one) I just go to the next town over to BBV cause most of my friends work there so I never pay for movies or magazines or sodas or candies. Im a blockbuster whore like that. But why should I pay?

And those old stores were cooler a lot of times. I got friendly with the workers there. And they were priced better. I find myself paying WAY TOO MUCH for a rental at Blockbuster. And all Blockbuster's don't have to carry the same, or even GOOD movies. Most of them don't carry the old cheesy horror movies that I love! And mine doesn't have Falling Down! WHAT A CLASSIC! They told me it was never in stick! JACKASSES!!

I don't know if it's all Blockbusters, but the one I go to has no porn section. Pisses me off. I have to go to a sleezy porn video store. Makes me feel like a damn pervert. And I agree, Falling Down is a great movie. I've felt like that many times.

The place I used to go to growing up in the Bronx was just called Silvio's.
LOL
It was a semi-Mob numbers joint. It had a kickass horror section though. I remember you used to take the empty box to the counter, they would put a Post-It on it saying your name and the date you rented it, threw it on a shelf and then gave you the movie. When you brought it back they would look at the date you took it and charge you applicably if you were late.
It was half-price day anytime they got raided.
LOL
Oh those where the days.
They also had this kickass Nintendo NES game that had like 100 games on it. All the popular ones. Way cool.
