best heavy metal lead

I was going to make a case for Uranium as being a better heavy metal (1.7 times more dense than lead), but I realized that it's a fairly subjective question in the first place.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this.

Sammy Hagar...if you consider Van Halen heavy metal...some would say so...

If you're going for strictly heavy metal, you can't beat Hetfield...

Getting back to the actual thread; I loved Plant, saw him two years ago at PNC and he had the entire place on their feet from first song to last, and he was 'warming up' for The Who.

Zep crossed many genres, I'd say.

Bull-fucking-shit.

If him and his nerd-hippie ass can be "metal," Axl blows him out of the fucking water.

And as great as Bruce Dickinson was, his little cousin Rob just might be greater, given that he was the frontman of the greatest forgotten band of the 90's, The Catherine Wheel.

Ya know some bands actually cross over into other genres. Sometimes within a single song. So as to who is metal, hard-rock, grunge-metal, death-metal, pop metal, and please no metal Plastic Only in this Bin.

Hagar??!?!?!? Die die die.

GnR aint metal

Lemmy has that ugly wart

Mustaine is a lead guitar reject (Rust in Peace is still a great album)

Joey Belladonna looks too good in an Indian Headress

Bruce Dickinson shrieks too much

Dio? Not tough enough.

I don't see Zep as metal.

Ozzy. See Bruce Dickinson.

Tom Araya..got me there. War Enemble anyone?

King Diamond = phony

David St. Hubbins (aka Patron St of Quality Foot Wear) see King Diamond

The Correct Answer:
James Hetfield, great guitar player too. Not many can play faster downstrokes them him. He gave Metallica their sound.

PS Anyone go to the Clash of The Titans tour in 90 or 91? Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Alice in Chains opening at MSG. I was like 15 at the time. I didnt think I'd make it out alive. =)
