Overall, I have to say the game is great.

One thing that was slow to grow is the fact that agility means something. Stephen Davis or Duce McCallister arent going to be breaking any ankles, but Tiki Barber will.

But, breaking takles is really fuckin hard, stiff arms have to be timed PERFECTLY, and the Y/Triangle Button is sick.

The expanded franchise mode is so fuckin sweet. As soon as I'm able to get some more full thoughts, I'll share them.

So at 9:30 this morning I went to the Toy R Us in Rockville to pick up the game. The guy in the game section tells me it will be on the shelves Thursday. Gee, I called yesterday and someone said it will be there today. Can anyone do their job right?

I got the game last night (monday) at game stop.
I like it alot so far the ratings arent really that harsh. Franchise mode is alot more intense. For example, lets say your WR isnt happy with his playing time he will be in storyline central demanding a trade. I like the graphics, they are more realistic and so are the sidelines with more reporters and players. Thats just a scoop of madden 05 i still have alot to explore. Any questions i will try to answer them.

Been playing it for 6 hours straight now...Its pretty good...Im disappointed with the gameplay, for the most part its the same at the last year...The features are pretty cool though, I like the story line central feature a lot, and overall the franchise mode kicks ass....

Fuckin' beautiful game.

I love it, I got it last Wednesday and am in year 5 of a franchise with my Cowboys. Cant get enough of the game.

I play on All-Pro and find it pretty hard to run on offense, does anyone else have this problem? I know they boosted the defense up alot for this game so I think thats why, or maybe cause my running back is Julius Jones. Who knows.

You really have to follow your blockers when you run and have to keep your eyes open for the slightest hole. It took me a few days before I could get a decent running game.

I'm love being on defense now, I (Pats) played Indy yesterday in my franchise and totally shut them down. Half the plays Manning would move someone or call an audible, I'd just do the same and he couldn't get shit done.

Question for you guy who have played the online version...can you take your created players/teams/franchises to the online area or does it force you to play with the regular NFL rosters? I can't wait to get online with this...I swear I'm going to this year.

Sacks, and defense in general, are very easy for me. I got the Cowboys defense so maybe helps because theyre one of the best in the leagues.

And running has been getting easier for me the more I play, I also have a faster back now too.

You can tell with this version of Madden they really have maxed out all they can do with the ps2. I can't wait to see what the game will be like for the ps3. Maybe you can get high with Ricky Williams or help beat down a players wife. Thats what I call a SIM game.

i don't want to piss on you guys' fun, but what do you think is better in Madden than ESPN other than the excellent franchise mode? The gameplay is much better in ESPN in my opinion and the Madden players look like apes (at least on X-Box). I'd like to try to stay loyal but the whole "just run till your tackled" running system has been overshadowed by ESPN's system where you are actually working to get yardage.

So I'm playing Madden online, and I'm starting to get bored of whipping my friends asses over and over again & I start thinking, "Why isn't there a RonFez.net Madden League online? I'd love to stomp some of those fuckers into the ground."
Seriously though, I'm not really all that good, I just like the idea of all of us playing against each other on the regular. There are enough of us that have the game to make this room be a constant on EA Online, no?
