i love ron and fez but why did they have an infomercial about some stupid sports novel. please dont try and convince me that ron had just come across the book and it made him "Really excited". im not buying it. its obvious the publisher paid some money to the station, parent company, whatever and they had to do a segment on it. i cant wait until next week when they do a segment on Super Mop. I know what your thinking, who cares about a mop, but this is no ordinary mop, next week on ron and fez

Two questions:
1. Do you know that Ron and Fez are paid to do commercial voice-overs? If you work for a life insurance company and you are trying to sell me some life insurance, I wouldn't say "Hey, what, are you getting PAID to sell me this?"
THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!
2. What the FUCK are you talking about?

[color=purple]Wow, aren't you quite the super sleuth. Look, it's no big secret that Ron & Fez earn a significant amount of money through product placement. Be it a specific brand of hot sauce, White Castle sliders or Dunkin Donut donuts, corporate sponsorship has always played a huge role in the show (hence all those eating challenges).
Even the Comedy Pyrimads, which so many fans love to participate in, are funded by a grant from the Egyptian Tourism Board. In fact, the whole character of "fez" is made possible by funds provided from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation GLAAD (http://www.glaad.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=a8749e2569b474fc7f72dfc740dc71 da)
Big whoop. The guys have gotta make a living, so who gets hurt?

I guess you have never seen the framed check from Bruce Campbell from the time he made his memorable call into the studio.

Actually, the guy was joking along right with Ron and Fez and was a decent guest. They seemed genuinely interested in his book, Ron alluded to the fact that he'd pretty much skimmed it a little to get an idea of what it's all about, and the subject matter is pretty interesting.
Almost ANY guest on ANY show is doing the same thing. Plugging whatever they have to sell or promote. Otherwise, there's no need to be there.
Just like any guest on a television talk show or any other radio show. It's just business. Making it interesting is up to the guest, making it entertaining is what the host's are supposed to do.
I'm sorry you hate football.

I'm just relieved that "KOP" is no longer the creepy internet poster who listens too closely and makes Ron uncomfortable.

You're not off the hook that easily KOP.
And I would also like to mention that a post of mine was brought up by crazy jen on Tuesday on the show. She didn't mentioned me by name, but the whole anti-street team post that I made, it was a joke that really went awry.

hello, sorry for the delay in responding but i had computer problems. let me give you guys a quote "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
-- Theodore Roosevelt
just replace all of that president nonsence with gay-straight comedy duo and unpatriotic with something different, im not sure what but you get the picture. maybee i was wrong in the informercial idea but what im trying to say here people is that im more of a friend to the show, for the crticism, than any of the people who dont, and thats from the mouth of teddy roosevelt. in response to being called a whiner and that i dont add anything to the show ive written a few bits for the next time don friedman comes on the show. i think hes really funny but sometimes his bits dont translate well to radio, excluding the d & b show, which of course was intended for a visual audience. so hopefully you bitches will check them out and tell me what you think.
goodday to you all

YOU WHORE!!!!!!!!1!! A shameless plug! Sellout!!!!1
Seriously, you get a pass for invoking Theodore Roosevelt to your defense. That's fucking hysterical! I salute you, sir! I would have been even more impressed if you could have applied something from the Gettysburg Address, or the Magna Carta, but hey, whatever fits your pursuit of happiness, I say.

Quoting Theodore Roosevelt? Why that's just BULLY! Just replace that "Trust Buster"nonsense with "would-be writer of bits for Don the Hypnotist" and I think you're going places, my Bull Moose revivalist friend.

How the Leap is made from Unquestioning Loyalty to a President to Ron doing a Live Read or a Commercial is beyond me.
And if you heard the Purina One ads, Ron turned it into an Art; a lot of those were funny as fuck, little mini bits. Hey thats a good catfood name.
Is it selling out? I've been in these Meetings:
Radio Show: No we dont wanna do Live Reads or Tags.
Client: We're ready to sign, but only if you voice it.
GM/PD/Sales People: This is a big account, serious money for Sales, We get a National Ad, serious money for everyone.
Radio Show: So! Where's the Copy!? WooHOOO.
=
And oh man the goodies that National Accounts give away to the people, Payola and Plugola are so illegal every year I jocked I had to sign the 'Non Payola-Plugola Form' but next thing I know here's some tickets the the Big Concert and oh we have a Box at the Stadium for Monday Night Football and feel free to bring a friend...
The major labels threw so much shit at us Tickets, CDs Meet and Greets, the National Accounts too, it fucking rules.
