A Death in the "Family" - Fred Hughes

I'm saddened to report that Opie's dad, Fred Hughes, was killed over the weekend in a car accident. Opie's mom was injured in the accident as well.

Please send your thoughts and prayers to the Hughes family... obviously this is going to be a very hard time for them.

I just found the April Fools show from 1998 (WAAF) that caused O&A to get fired for the first time*. I hadn't heard it before but found this <b>clip</b> (http://members.cox.net/nicksporsche/April%20Fools%2004-01-1998%20curse.mp3) a bit weird. Maybe that lady was a witch or something.

As far as what I've heard on the air, Opie has mentioned his fathers death and his mother dealing with it several times.

Whenever the joking around of Connor Peterson goes on, it's usually Lil' Jimmy, and Anthony, Opie has expressed several times that he doesn't understand the humor in it.
