I was watchin the Eagles-Ravens game last night, and heard the announcers talking about some of the newer rules that Tagliabue (sp?) set up over the off season instead of doin something useful. Among the new rules, is one that deals with touchdown celebrations. It states that only 2 players can be involved in a TD celebration, the scorer and one other player...is this not the dumbest thing youve ever heard?! Whats the agenda behind this?! WTF cares if more than 2 players celebrate?

what consists of celebration? Can everyone throw a fist in the air in celebration? If more then one player smacks the scoring player on the helmet, will that be a foul? Also what is the penalty?
They are trying to make this game as dull as possible.

some of the old-school nfl execs were really pissed off by what they saw as excessive celebrations (ie Joe Horn) last year. with the new rules, the penalty is assessed on the kickoff. I say bring 'em back. The Joe Horn thing was one of the funniest things that happened all season last year.

But the Joe Horn incident was just 1 guy....its not like celebrations get out of hand if you have 3 or 4 or...dare I say 5 guys out there....Theres no really valid reason for this, they just want football to be played the way they think it should be played...I dont think its out of the question that they might ban celebrations period....as stupid as that sounds, Bill Tagliabue seems to have a lot of time on his hands...
