Winners get a green card...losers get deportation! (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=573&ncid=757&e=6&u=/nm/20040806/od_nm/life_greencard_dc)

How funny must this show be!? Watching the immigrants sweating it out to get their green card. I think this is how every immigrant should earn their green card. Fuck knowing the constitution and the national anthem, most people that were born and raised here have no idea about either. This show should be broadcast across the nation on English television. If every immigrant had to be on this show it would stop illegal immigration. First of all who wouldn't watch it? Second, if you see an immigrant mowing your lawn or getting on your plane that wasn't on the show, you would know to tell the authorities.

The winner isn't guaranteed a green card. What they win is one years service of an immigration lawyer to try and get a green card.

Isn't the "trick" of being an illegal that nobody can make them do anything to get into the country?

First of all who wouldn't watch it?

There's nobody watching "Fear Factor" NOW.

Is anybody really getting deported if they lose?

your both buzz kills. Get a sense of humor.

Nobody is being deported if they lose, it was a joke. I also know they don't get handed a green card as they leave the fucking studio. Its a silly game concept that I thought you guys would get a kick out of.

Relax fellas it's all fun and games till someone calls immigration.

Also "The show started running on July 1 and Liberman said it had been consistently No. 2 in prime-time Los Angeles Spanish language stations."

Got out of bed, wasn't feeling too good
With my wallet and my passport, a new pair of shoes
The sun is shining so I head for the park,
With a bottle of Tequila, and a new pack of cigarettes

I got a cousin and she got a friend,
Who thought that her aunt knew a man who could help
At his apartment I knocked on the door,
He wouldn't come out until he got paid.
Now don't tell anybody what I wanna do
If they find out you know that they'll never let me through, cos

It's no fun being an illegal alien
No, it's no fun being an illegal alien

Down at the office had to fill out the forms
A pink one, a red one, the colours you choose,
Up to the counter to see what they think
They said "it doesn't count man, it ain't written in ink".
I don't trust anybody, least not around here, cos

It's no fun being an illegal alien, I tell ya
It's no fun being an illegal alien,
An illegal alien, O.K.

Consideration for your fellow man
Would not hurt anybody, it sure fits in with my plan
Over the border, there lies the promised land
Where everything comes easy, you just hold out your hand

Keep your suspicions, I've seen that look before
But I ain't done nothing wrong now, is that such a suprise
But I've got a sister who'd be willing to oblige
She will do anything now to help me get to the outside

So don't tell anybody what I wanna do
If they find out you know that they'll never let me through, because

It's no fun being an illegal alien, I tell ya
It's no fun being an illegal alien, and it's getting me down
It's no fun being an illegal alien, no no no no no
It's no fun being an illegal alien, yeah yeah yeah

I don't take coffee I take tea my dear
I like my toast done on one side
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
I'm an Englishman in New York

See me walking down Fifth Avenue
A walking cane here at my side
I take it everywhere I walk
I'm an Englishman in New York

I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York

If, "Manners maketh man" as someone said
Then he's the hero of the day
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
Be yourself no matter what they say

I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York

Modesty, propriety can lead to notoriety
You could end up as the only one
Gentleness, sobriety are rare in this society
At night a candle's brighter than the sun

Takes more than combat gear to make a man
Takes more than a license for a gun
Confront your enemies, avoid them when you can
A gentleman will walk but never run

If, "Manners maketh man" as someone said
Then he's the hero of the day
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
Be yourself no matter what they say

I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
