NICE!

24 hours ago I was sitting right here in NJ but then a friend called me up and said he wanted to go on a rollercoaster. In Ohio. Well, what the hell, why not?

12 something hours later I am strapped into the worlds fastest and tallest coaster.. the Top Thrills Dragster (http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/specs/index.cfm) at Cedar Point.

0 - 120mph in 4 seconds. 420 feet tall. Holy crap. Best rollercoaster I have ever been on. Every singler person who rode it came back into the station cheering and looking very happy. We go on it again, go on one other coaster and decide to drive home.

I suggest that if anyone is at all into coasters to go check this thing out. It's worth the drive.

I'm definatly not a roller coaster fan but that sounds like the funniest and stupidest way to waste a day and a tank of gas, but it must've rocked!

True that. Took about 3 or 4. Well worth it. Pulled in the park around 745 this morning, pulled out of the park around 345 this afternoon, pulled into my driveway around 10 this evening.

Spontaneous roadtrips rule. But I'm convinced rollercoasters are trying to kill me.

I'm so torn!

That's where that $2.00 off coupon comes in handy.
You want to save $2.00, don't you?

Im not really into rollercoasters but Im always down for a cool road trip. It doesnt matter what your going for, most of the fun is the drive there. I'm glad you had a good time.

We did almost the same exact thing last year, me and a couple
of friends. But it was only a couple of weeks after the ride
opened and the wait was either 6 or 8 hours to ride. So we
didn't ride it, but we could have spent an hour or two just
watching it.

What happened is Cedar Point opened a ride in 2000 called
Millenium Force which was the tallest fastest coaster in the
world (something like 50 feet or more talled than the next
tallest). But very soon after some place in Japan opened on that
was a couple feet taller and a couple of miles per hour faster. So
Cedar Point didn't want it to happen again. They built the
dragster which is about 100 feet taller and 20 mph faster than
the next tallest coaster in the world.

And it probably still had a 6 hour line.

Cedar Point > Great Adventure. Period.

I'm with your Lord Jezo. I'd rather spent an afternoon driving with buddies to ride rollercoasters.

If he went to GA he'd be waiting for 12 hours anyway.
