Simply put, will Deion Sanders' return to the Ravens help or hinder their chances of making it to the Super Bowl? Will his impact be felt at all?

Considering most of his tacky wardrobe IS feldt I would say yes. (sorry for theplay on words)

I have two words for players who think they can come back from retirement and play like the susperstar they USED to be....Ricky Henderson.

So sad when they do not know to hang it up and walk away. This is not the league for pussy CB's who hate to tackle or hit. Sanders will get his ass re-arrainged out there and I hope it is on Monday Night when it happens and everyone gets to see it.

Hey Dion.....Remember the Panthers???

"What do all men want Phillip?"
"He wants you to dress up like Wonder Woman, tie him up with your golden lariat and force him to tell the truth?????"

I pretty much agree with you, except for the fact that I think Ricky Henderson still plays simply for the love of the game. He doesn't care if it's at a minor league level or a major league level (or course he would prefer the majors) simply because he's love the game that much.

wasn't ricky henderson hitting the minors/independents to garner a big league spot to chase a couple slightly elusive records ...

The new rules that the NFL implemented crackdown on bumping receivers beyond the 5-yard zone are not going to help him one bit.

I think his impact will be minimal at best.

He'll get his 3 or 4 INT's as the nickel back and miss just as many tackles as he used to, which will piss off Ray Lewis.

Hes not gonna have too much of an impact at all and isnt gonna be a Pro Bowl corner like he used to, he'll just be an average, help where its needed guy.

I think alot of people are gonna be disappointed.

''The guy won't hit anybody with pads on; what's he going to do, arm tackle me?''
- Curt Schilling on Deion Sanders after a June 1997 Reds/Phillies game where Sanders feigned charging the mound as a result of some Schilling chin music.

assuming his trainer wasnt bullshitting, Deion is running a 4.38 40. thats still faster than most of the league, and since he never hit anyone anyway, if thats true, i dont see why he couldnt be a solid nickel back.
Especially on a team like baltimore, who had the world's greatest Defense even when they had a ? at nickel back

I hated Deion just as much as you guys. He doesn't hit people and has an over-inflated ego. But as a Ravens fan, we need him. Sounds wierd but I totally think he is better than our SECOND corner. And that's just because he hasn't played recently. I think he can certainly help therefore, if only to keep someone like Fuller or even Baxter or Demps off the field.

I actually don't remember the nickel back the year the Ravens won the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure the starting corners were Mcallister and Starks and the dime back was James Trapp, who I still call "the best dimeback in football today" even though he's retired.
