Can you tell mine is being spent stuck indoors? I did manage to get to the Belmar Boardwalk yesterday [gorgeous] and today [threatening as hell], and now it looks weird out.

Anyone doing anything cool? Well, if you were youd be offline, but hey, check in and fill us in on whats going on. Someone, anyones having a better time then me. Not a pity thing, I just have to be 'on Call' coz Mom aint feeling so good. But forget THAT!

Thats the reason for this thread. get away from the political and illness threads, with all due respect to all involved in both. Those are the most important threads on the board. I want this one to be un-important and light. Or fuck it tell us your Miseries.

My dad is sick and in the hospital, so I am pretty much spending my weekend in there. not good times. I am watching the Yanks, which accoriding to my dad are part of the reason he is in there.

I didn't really have any solid plans anyway, so its not such a big deal, Just some BBQ's going on. I will not head towards the shore because of the traffic even if I could.

Well my weekend is certainly going better than a couple of Million people in FLA.

But I decided to come and work a couple hours. Yesterday I did nothing, and I mean nothing. I drank Friday night (friends new house--had a party, trouble, but that's OK). I woke up, wasn't hungover. Couldn't watch my team play football, had to follow people posting about it on the internet (yes, i'm that obsessed).

Turned the TV on, put the first disk of the "In Search of the Trojan War" DVD that I got from Netflix and promptly fell asleep.

I got band practice later on today, nothing at all planned tomorrow. Might have to make some maps of Florida for the Hurricane. Definatly should call this girl i've been talking to...

I'm in the middle of a four day weekend since I'm going to the US Open on Tuesday.

Other than that, I'm just hanging around the apartment, cleaning up, reading and watching football, baseball and tennis since I know I will be dropping a bunch of money Tuesday.

Had an amazing British Bubba Burger last night with aboout the best damn French Onion soup I have EVER had.

Anxiously awaiting Shaun of the Dead to come to theatres in a few weeks.

Hopefully getting the new Amon Amarth so I can live out yet more Viking fantasies.

Um, not doing much else. Maybe I can find an Emergency Room to hang out in for some shits and giggles.

I also want to go to the beach maybe tomorrow but we'll just have to see how the weather holds up.

That should do it until I think of something else.

Thought about taking a train to the beach, but the overcast sky changed my mind.

Took my daughter to a children's museum, but found out once we got there that it was closed for renovations, so we just walked around Soho and spent too much money. Now we're just waiting for my wife to get home from a class so we can order a pizza. I'm posting here while my daughter watches a DVD (Frosty the Snowman...go figure)

Tomorrow, I'll probably stay home and work on a bunch of projects, including a bunch of video editing I've been meaning to get to for a while.

SATURDAY- went to south street with my friend to

look at fabric for her sun room, i felt like shit, went

to my friend's niece's 16th bday party, found out

my friend's sister got engaged 3 weeks ago, went

to work from 5 to 11 pm (it was soooooooo dead)


SUNDAY- woke up feeling REALLY HORRIBLE and

ACHY, went to work from 12 pm - 6 pm, had ice

cream for dinner with my friend from work, home

now typing this....


MONDAY- i have no plans, i may go visit my friend

who is gonna have her baby on the 16th of sept, probably will work on my MOOD board for my collection class due wednsday

I spent saturday and sunday shark fishing off of Montauk Point..I had my brother's laptop with Wi-Fi connection ...it worked great..I got an 11 foot nurse shark and I sang all of the portuguese sailor songs that I know!!!!! My brother got a sunburn..hahahahaha!!!!!

Friday- saw the movie "Hero" at the Reading Cinemas

Saturday/Sunday- picked up my sister in the afternoon at Newark Liberty Airport (was adding "Liberty" really neccessay?) and drove her to her house in Keansburg. Came back to my house and played Texas Hold'em No limit poker till 7 in the morning. Woke up in time for Spanish mass. Slept for a couple of hours showered and drove to Lawrenceviile for a swimming pool/poker game party. Too bad it was kind of chilly outside.

Monday- feel like I'm catching a fever.
