Anyone know of any good natural anti-anxiety supplements?

No, not marijuana. Something that can be purchased at a vitamin store.

The ones that I seem to recall are Kava Kava and St. John's Wort.

I've heard that wearing the right bra size will help reduce anxiety.

Try looking at supplements that are mood support....Do you know why you are having anxiety problems? Did this just start?

Kava Kava and St. John's Wort.

Do a little research on both...they've been downgraded to nothing more than weeds!!

Didn't know that. Thanks for the update. It's been awhile since I've taken any supplements.

Believe it or not this isn't me. A friend has been partying a bit too much and she's getting anxiety in the days to follow. She's been freaking out alot and just wanted a drug-free way to relax. She got the Kava Kava(thanks Tall James) and she said it worked for 45 minutes. But it says on the bottle if you drink regularly it will have the same affect on your liver as alcohol. So I guess it's back to square one.

I find Valarian Root Tea calming.

It's available in a variety of forms (http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshelf/substances_view/1,1525,10064,00.html)

It's an additive in cigarettes, which I assume adds to the relaxation smokers feel when getting their fix.

Valarian is very potent. It's what valium is made from. If you want something not so powerful, try chamomile tea. Chamomile is supposedly relaxing without the knock you on your ass power of Valerian.

I heard that sam-E was good for many things, including anxiety, but I never tried it. I regularly use ginger for stomach ailments, and I heard tumeric is very good.

None of these supplements, herbs, spices, KFC recipes, teas do a thing for me, and I bet for most compared to learning how to calm one's self down.

Might sound easy in practice, but how many of us can really Chill Out On Demand? I mean have that kind of control, so that you might talk yourself down in a stressful situation.

This is different from general anxiety, which can be an amped-up, juiced up, electric low voltage background in your system that is just enough to keep you on edge, a little worried, and That shit can be a living hell.

But for me, working on the former, while also sitting quietly [not meditation, which this is not], just sitting quietly 20-30mins each morning, has done some friggin wonders for me.

frigging wonders = 2 and a half years No Booze, and Now thats going to clubs and bars about 4 nights a week now. I fucking love it.

=

There's a Lot more to it then that, but...

anxiety

So you've be thinkin' about it
You think that you've got the answer now
And you've been praying about it
You've asked him to remove your fear
right now

So you analyze it
you think you have control
Then you realize
it's time that you let go

[Chorus]

It's not your time, yeah.
Feel it all and know
it's not your time, yeah.
Feel it all and know that this will pass.

So you can cry about it.
The tears can help you heal inside.
I know you lost your mind now,
and you just tell yourself to hide.

So you analyze it,
you think you have control.
Then you realize
it's time that you let go.
