Last year, we had high expectations... only to be cut short in a preseason game vs. the Giants.

This year, it's different... we're 95 percent healthy (the Mickens loss was bad, but nowhere near the Chad loss last year) there's a bit of intrigue with the running backs... and this new, faster defensive scheme is hotness.

The best part is, and Bill Simmons is right... NOBODY is talking about them.

I just need to get my morning dose of John Facenda.

We can do without Mickens now cause we got T-Buck.

I don't think we'll take the division (Dillion just makes the Pats stronger) but we got a lock on one of the Wild Cards. We've got a stronger defense, a legit second WR, and I think this is the year Jordan replaces Martin as #1 Running Back (the kid deserves it).

Somebody call Don Rumsfeld - bombs are dropping in NYC.

I can't believe that people keep ranting that Pennington "has no arm strength" - this is the third time I've seen Chad nail a deep pass like this for a TD.

What's the status on Chrebet?

And nice return by Abraham. I wish this opening game was against a good team. God, I hate the Bangels.

2 passes for 30 yards, one was a key third down conversion. Not bad, considering his injuries and he's probably 4th on depth.

How fuckin good did Curtis Martin look today? 199 yards on 28 attempts I think. Defense was hella good today. Abraham got a sack, and that guy I never even heard of got a pick. We're lookin pretty solid. Defense, despite any real depth, is much improved over last year. The wide receiver corp looks really good as well with Santana, McCareins, Chrebet and Carter...And of course Chad is just Chad, not much needs to be said there.

Much Thanks to CanOfSoup for the sig!

I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.

Squish the fish today. I'll be ready at 4PM with a sub, a beer, and some chips and salsa.

Is it wrong that I'm wearing my Jets jersey under my work uniform? I feel like The Rock in the "Stupid Clark Kent" sketch on SNL a few years back.

I won Jets tickets at the O and A gig this past Friday. I am getting the tickets via mail on Tuesday, but I will be unable to attend the game. Before I sell the tickets to some random person, I thought I would offer to sell them to one of the fans on the rf message board first. I can let you know where the seats are located when I get them in the mail on Tuesday. Let me know if you are interested!

Jets tickets

When's the game?

And if it's from an O&A event, I'd beware. The Curse may be in effect.

Did Opie actually touch the tickets?
