How do you play beer pong? I hear all these kids here at college talking about it but I never heard of it how does it work?

how we played is you fill or half fill 12 cups of beer...line 6 of them up on each side of the ping pong table bowling pin style...3 in the back 2 in the middle one up front. then each team takes shots at the cups with the ping pong ball. if they get it in the other team drinks that cup of beer. when one team gets all the cups the other team has to drink what they didn't get. that is the basic game. there are other ways you can play. such as having more beer on the side for the losers to drink. some play the game where if the ball hits the floor its up for grabs, as opposed to one team at a time. i'm sure others play it a bit differently. this game is probably what i miss most about college...other than not having to work.

Anyway, I loving playing beer pong... it's a quick way to get drunk. Other then Power Hour.

What walking joint is talking about is called Beirut.

Beer Pong is two players a team at opposite ends of the ping pong table (or piece of plywood), with their cups in front of them, at about the center in between them and the net. 4 cups total filled with beer (or halfway - however you want to play it).

Then play regular ping pong. But try and hit the ball into your opponent's cup. Doesn't matter whose. If it goes in, they finish their beer and your team gets a point.

We always played up until about 5 or 7 points so other teams could join in with a quick turnover time so all could enjoy.

Edit: SatCam posted a good picture - but I usually played with the cups more towards the center of the table.

not really. i understand, yes you want to drink, but the ball gets really dirty and you see the crap floating in the water. you can use water to dip in, but it never seems to last long. its more fun to watch the other team drink the dirty beer, while you drink your nice cold/clean beer. after a while you see the dust and dirt hanging off the ping pong ball.

I'm really good at this game. But last year I was playing two players with this girl who didn't want to drink the beers, so I offered to drink hers. Turns out we get our asses kicked and I get really really shitfaced.

I was at a beer pong game the other night with the RA and he won. Hooked up with a hot chick who thought I was cute after drinking a lot, and I don't drink so I guess it worked to my advantage. She didn't remember me the next day, but that was alright, I didn't care. I got with a hot drunk chick. Beer pong rules.

did you happen to hang out with a lot of the asian exchange students. as far as i know, beruit and beer pong is the same thing by joints definition.

I'm not sure what that means but Beruit is played with multiple cups on each side, usually lined up in a pyramid, and each team throws the ball. No paddles are used.

That's how I know it. I'm sure it varies from place to place.

sorry, i've never heard of people playing actual pp - seems like the beer would be in danger. plus i've never known any one that plays pp that well - much less inebriated. ie, the asian kids comment.
