Al Dukes Work?? or Shoot??

I know that this whole Al Dukes things is at times a bit, and at time is true... but I am having a tough time figuring out how much of this is true.

And Lets say that a majority of the bitching is true... do we, as fans, have an obligation to the show to start writing to WNEW management to get this guy removed????

I personally have laughed my ass off to alot of what Al Dukes has done on the show... to this day the "Wedding Gift" I feel is one of the funniest hours in radio ever, but if he truly is AS BAD for the show as they make it seem, should we as fans and members of this board attempt to help the situation.

And if so what?????

I don't want to side with Mad Producer but he's right Al is whats bringing R&F down. Occassionally he will be productive to the show, but thats once in a blue moon. We need him removed, if we send mail to WNEW or Jeremy, Al will intersept it and have it destroyed. If he gets anthony's fusball table, Al doesn't die. but last night i almost plunged a spork in my ears to stop listening to Al's defense. He needs to be removed but how? Thats the question. We need a new producer or maybe an old one back, like Dead Air. come on see what most people don't AL Dukes Must GO!!!

Wedding Gift was funny because we were laughing AT Al not with him. Yes sometimes it's a bit but I think that they do have legitimate reason to be angry with him. it's obvious he seems to be running the show based on his personal preferences. He seems afraid to try new things because he's afraid to see how they'll turn out. Al Dukes is just as afraid of failure as he is of success. He is content with being content and trying to rock the boat is not his style.

I also am interested in what he considers funny.

I only really think he made a mistake when he broke one of anthony's possesions.
I only wish he would go away so that R and F would not feel uncomfortable around the O and A. AFRO shows are fun but will become incrasingly more uncommon because of AL.
I actually think AL is a good producer becuase his actions are always funny...

Also, I can never tell if fezzie or ronnie are really mad or it is just a bit.
I mean honestly, we dont know what goes on behind closed doors.
I think al will be with us a long time, if he doesnt decide to go back to AM.

Anyway, where am I going with this? I dunno.
I think al is cute , funny, and a good producer. He just needs to work on his people skills (in a work environment).
A little kindness and respect can go a long way...

Don't get me wrong: I do think Al has given a lot to the show in the form of someone who can bear the brunt of endless jokes. Hearing them goof on him is something I never get tired of.

BUT, if what we heard the other night is true....if Al really does program the show based upon his own personal preferences (no guests cause he thinks they take away from the show? No clip promos? WTF???), than he's WAY outlived his usefulness. He was an entertaining foil for R&F, but he's dragging the show down. And at a time when R&F want to build up their audience and ratings, that's unforgiveable.

Al is not a bad person, but I wouldn't go so far as to describe him as "cute," as did Melissa.

He needs serious work on people skills in all phases or professional and personal life. See my earlier posts on Schizoid Personality Disorder.
