Mike Teacher

Saturday: Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. Thunder possible. High around 75F. Winds NE at 15 to 25 mph. Rainfall may reach one inch.
Saturday night: Showers ending early, then partly cloudy overnight.
=
Thats for my area and it's Thunder and Rain out now. So My plans changed. When it's a Day off, assume Saturday, whatever, and it's goona be a No Sun All Rain day, what's your fave activity?
Mine so far; is figuring the "Poll" feature here and overusing it.

Finish any homework, hang out with this girl I've been hooking up with, watch movies, which will lead to...most likely nothing cause we're both tired from getting trashed last night.

So yesterday, I was was asked to replace the brakes on someones car to which I said sure! Little did I know of the hell that awaited me. I jack up the car & remove the front driver`s side tire only to find out that this job requires 1/2 metric - 1/2 am spec. So, I dig out the tools. The 1st set of brake shoes are replaced within 20 mins. i put the tire back on & move on to the other side. I get the tire off & noticed that the 1 brake pad is nearly welded to the frickin` rotor. Shit! Here we go... What a way to spend a Saturday.
I pry off the bad shoe & naturally , the piece has to be re-cut. I bring the rotor to the shop & have it cut in 1 hr. I go back to the house with the part, throw the ring on & commence to push the plunger back in order to gain clearance space for when the shoes are replaced. Now, I`m busting my balls trying to get the plunger pushed back & figured , if I open the bleed valve to the line ,the plunger would go back more readily...Wrong! I snapped the frickin` valve right off...Banging my hand and ripping a big hunk of skin off. Now I`m hot..I go back to the store to buy a new caliper. The salesman says, "hmmm, the plunger is frozen open...Probably from wear & heat". Nice observation buddy , please give me a new 1. I go back to the house & put the new part on. Now the real fun starts. Jacking up the car to bleed all 4 lines, hand killing me & getting brake fluid all over the new blacktop in my driveway. Needless to say it was a rough day...All for Reeshy`s best Buddy Manny...
Thank You , That is All

I had 8 hours OT yesterday! After work, I sent food shopping, hung out with Reefdweller and Angel Amy at Mama Theresa's and went to a .99 store. After that we all headed back to my place for a while and then the two love birds left and I watched Bourne Identity and had a few beers and went to bed around 1am.

None of you so much as considered the old favorite "reading a book"?
I read Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend" yesterday, WHILE I was sick as a dog in bed.
Enhance your mind through reading, people. Knowledge is your anti-drug.

last night my wife and i went to one of her friends who just bought a house and there was a total of 4 couples... we played this game where you pick 4 cards and place them in the 4 slots of this machine that you wind up. on each card is something that you have to 'act out' and your team guesses. Once the timer is activated the card will drop down after approx 7 seconds and you move on to the next one... each card has a point value. We played guys against the girls and they beat us 3 out of 3 games...
then we did some Karaoke...
edit: we aslo played this 'card board' game where there are 9 holders on the board and everyone places a nickel in each holder. some holders are marked by the 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace of hearts, one is a Kitty. The dealer starts by throwing his lowest hole card down and everyone throws down the next card in that suit. If you have the 'heart' cards you can take what's in that holder and if you run out of cards you gett the Kitty...
F me if i could remember any of the names to these games...
good times
;)

It's a shame, yesterday it was beautiful down here. Sunny and 90. I woke up, hit the trees for a bit, watched the Yanks pound Boston, went to the Marlins/Braves game, then went out drinking for the night in South Beach. It was a pretty good day. Today, aside from the Pats win, was terrible. I was hungover and had to do work all day.

I'm a flight medic so I got called out early in the morning since no other assholes wanted to take the job. When we were halfway there, we got called off the job, so we went back, grabbed some coffee, cracked a few jokes and then I left and went to Subway to eat a hero outside in the "beautiful" weather.
Where the hell did the sun and blue skies come from when all of the weathermen said it was going to be "raining, heavy at times"??
