The movie version of Trapper.

He always brought his own olives.

What do you care, you Martini-hater.

I'd go for one of those random nurses. Preferrably a brunette.

I really liked Radar. I thought he was a great character. Klinger was great too.

The only character I really didnt like was Col. Flagg.

Okay, uh, I'm going to have to pick a movie character (sorry TV faithfuls) and go with Painless. If for nothing else, because the song was about him. There was a last supper held for him. He woke up after being "dead" and banged a hot nurse. He owns.

Depending on which lips they are referring to, I think it sounds painful.

I like when Hawkeye was trying to talk him out of his funk when he couldn't get it up...

*But c'mon.....you're the best equipped Dentist in the Army!!*....

boy was that funny....

Seriously though, M*A*S*H the movie totally ruled.....the TV show sucked...

*Hawkeye...did you steal that jeep?*
*Uh..no sir. It's uh...Right over there*

My favorite M*A*S*H character is Col. Potter. I think he began to drink a bit toward the end there. He reminds me of my dad and looks like him too. He was also a General in one episode I think.

I notice that M*A*S*H has pretty much disappeared from cable and broadcast TV. In NY, it's on at 4 am but it used to be a FOX staple. It went off the air around the same time the war in Iraq began. Hmmm...

It's still on Fox here about 6 different times in the overnight/early morning hours.

And yes, it still sucks.

I agree totally with El Mudo about the movie. That fucking TV series ruined the quality and reputation of a brilliant film.

I hate Altman's politics, but I love that freakin movie...its one of the first DVD's i ever bought...

Some of my favorite scenes besides the two mentioned above...

*When Hawkeye and Trapper John go to Japan to work on that Congressman's son...and they get hassled by that idiot officer who wouldn't let them work on that baby, so they chloroformed him and took him to the "new age children's hospital and whorehouse" and took pictures of him with the girls..

*I love how Spearchucker Jones was completely oblivious as to why he was called "spearchucker"...

"Well you know I used to throw the javelin in college....

*When Trapper John and Hawkeye came back from Japan and Duke had the door closed..and wouldn't let them in, and they saw Hotlips sneaking out the back...

"Hey Hotlips!! Didya miss us!?"

*When Hawkeye baited Frank Burns into attacking him talking about Hotlips

"Well you know she's got that big ass...did she just lay there or did she move around at all?"

*When Burns was teaching HoJohn the korean boy to read from the bible, Duke gave him a playboy, which he later left with Doc Painless...

The music in the movie was also very well placed and very well done....

You liked the idea of a chicken being choked, but then again, who doesn't?
