Its really sad to see someone with as much talent as he has, just bring this shit on himself. (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1889533) I remember last year he was bitching to Reds management that he wasnt starting over Ken Griffey even though he did so well filling in. Baseball players like to throw shit, huh...

Much Thanks to Jester for the sig!

I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.

good ...

adults acting like an ass need to suffer the consequences of their pitiful behaviour ...

i hope the players' association does the right thing, and let the angles conduct their business ...

I'd be pissed if Griffey was starting over me too. Guy's a washed up has-been.

This is why teams only sign Guillen to 1 year deals now. He's always been a bit of a prick.

I think every player should be on 1 year contracts....this way every year they could be up for review.....and have their contracts adjusted to how they played the year before!!!! Keep them on their toes!!!! Just like in real life!!!!!

Yeah, but I'm not gonna break an ankle on the phone at work. And if I do, it's not going to effect my work long term. These guys break a leg and it could ruin a year, maybe 2.

I have no problem w/ established hard workers making money, getting nice long deals. Someone like Mussina, Even the deal Piazza signed w/ the Mets was fine. Some guys deserve the safety of having these deals. Bernie, Jeter, hell, even A-Rods deal I got no beef with. Miguel Tejada, busts his ass every night.

Because you know regardless of the year/deal, they are gonna bust their ass.

Giambi? Nah, yanks bid against themselves there.

Javy Lopez? He had a bunch of deccent/good years, then in his walk year, lit it the fuck up.

There's more, but I'm lazy. Plus, most of em play(ed) for the Mets, and I don't wanna get upset.

He's like .294 with 27hr and 102 RBIs . It seems little silly to bench and fine him. The Angels need him now they are in the playoff hunt and that's when those stats come into play. A player that good should be given a little leeway.

After he threw his helmet at his manager? And after he yelled at his teammates for not retaliating when he was hit by a pitch earlier in the season? Sure he has good stats, but is it worth it to keep him in the lineup at the risk of hurting the morale of your team?

Can you imagine what would happen if the Yankees or Red Sox did something similar? 24-hour ESPN coverage, mention of it in every media outlet. It would be HUGE!!!!!!! But since its some team out west, its just some story.
