"You've Been Sacked" - sucked

New thread initiation territory for me here as I seldom comment that much on sports.

However, after watching last nights game between the Redskins and the Cowboys, I reflected on the horror that is "You've Been Sacked."

Who the hell came up with this suck as rip off of "you've been punked" (which arguably sucks to begin with)?

Our hapless announcers tried to stir up enthusiasm on how they couldn't wait to see how this segment of football based frivolity was pulled off.

In the first episode of "You've Been Sacked," St. Louis Rams Pro Bowl wide receiver Torry Holt has been set up by his teammates. Holt was contacted by a magazine and told that he had been voted the best dressed player in the league. Holt proceeds to a photo shoot where things turn bizarre. It's not until his two teammates, offensive linemen Adam Timmerman and Andy McCollum, come into the shoot to let him know he's been "sacked", does Holt figure out that all of it was a joke.

He ended up wearing a tutu and make-up.

After the segment, neither Al or John even acknowledged what had been aired. Wish I could forget that piece of crap so easily.

Celebrity pranks are kinda stupid to begin with, but they got a Pro Bowl receiver into a friggin tutu! I don't care if I'm offered the cover of GQ, if I have to do it in pancake makeup, pink spandex, & a tutu...I'll find my trim some other way. I'm sure subsequent tries at this will be horrible, but at least last night was funny for a brief moment.
