If it's not named "Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money" I will be very disappointed.

Unfortunately, that Yin is cancelled out by his re-re-re making The Producers movie of the broadway hit that was originally a movie.
Fucking Yang.

Shouldn't be a problem getting Daphne Zuniga back for another one. I don't think she has a lot on her plate right now.

I remember reading in a movie magazine in 1989 or 1990 that a Spaceballs sequel was in the works. It was supposed to be called "Spaceballs 3: The Search for Spaceballs 2".

I can't take credit for making this. I saw it on a Something Awful (http://www.somethingawful.com) comedy goldmine a while ago and saved it cause I thought it was hysterical. I think it was made by the user "dorquemada"

Knowing Mel Brooks, he'll make it Spaceballs 1/2 or Spaceballs -2 just to rip on the prequels.

This is bad news.
I watched "Spaceballs" a week ago on TNT, and I forgot that while about 40% of that movie is drop-dead hilarious, the other 60% has some of the worst attempts at comedy ever put to screen. I mean, it was jusn't bad, it was fall down-lay there-and die-bad. EMBARASSING bad.
Mel's been "off" for well over a decade now. Best let sleeping Jews lie.

Mel does the rapid-fire comedy. If you don't like something, something funnier is just around the corner.

I picked Spaceballs up abut 6 months ago, it was on sale at Target. A couple weeks ago i had come in from being somewhere and my daughter Michele was watching it with my Dads ladyfriend Phyllis 'who never seen it' and Phyllis was laughing like crazy. They were both enjoying the movie...
guess what i'm saying is it's just a fun movie that both the young and old can enjoy...
Spaceballs 2 should be pretty good...

That's being charitable. I'd say that by 1974, his best movies were behind him. Personally, I don't think he's made a consistently enjoyable movie since 1977. (History of the World had its moments, but it's inconsistent as hell).

That's true. I wonder what History of the World would have been like if he'd made it earlier. I read an interview with him and they asked if he could make Blazing Saddles today and he said he couldn't have made it a year after they did because Hollywood started censoring his edgy material.

Doesn't work if you follow up a bad joke with an even worse one.
