how much raw footage does it take

to make a 2 minute edited to music video? I have about 30 soemthing minutes of raw footageI shot durring the hurricane and Im editing it to music. I havent done this sorta thing in over 4 years and I kinda rusty. Im debating even editing it and just waiting for the next one to hit Florida so I can get more footage

What he said, I had a tv broadcasting class and to make a 7 minute project we had like 2 hours over footage, needless to say a lot of it was crapy stuff. heh. A good rule to follow is 10 times the legnth you need should be sufficient. So a half hour for 2 min is more than enough. What program do you use to edit with?

Yup... just depends on how much good footage you have. Considering its a hurricane, I'm assuming you can get some pretty good stuff very easily.
