Serious. I love it when they talk about deep stuff like they did. Is there anything Mike the Teacher DOESN'T know?
He doesn't know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

Mike's a great radio personality. Seriously, I think R&F should have him on at least once a week as a regular character/segment. Tonight was never anything less than fascinating. Way to go, Teach!

Mike is easily the best "fan guest" the show has ever had. I'm not very crazy about either NYC or DC fans on the show with the exception of Mike and of course Sweet Melissa. The rest were either bad or terribly over rated. I remember when he used to call the show too which was always interesting and informative. He seems right for radio obviously with his voice but he just has a good sense in studio or at least that's how it comes off air.

Oh my GOD you should have heard me during the breaks. "Ron, this sucks right? I'm boring people and theyre tuning out." I actually left at the 10:30 break coz I thought I was hogging the show.
I felt totally off. You guys are insanely generous.
It's not intelligence. Its some weird photogrphic memory, which is utterly out of my control. I just remember shit, and I read a lot. And some of my bible 'facts' come off as put downs of the religion; I do Not mean them to come off as such. No WAY would I deny someones experience. In fact I thought I started bad immedaitely when I said to Ron science [or anybody] cant disprove something, like the moon is Not a bran muffin, and Ron said 'Oh no. That can be disproved.' And I wanted to continue, cause I disagree, hence why I am not an Atheist.
but thanx, everyone.

You want to hear the oddest thing. There was nothing on TV, and I was flipping past channels and NOVA was on PBS (I think Ron might have even mentioned that he was TiVoing it). So I watched NOVA with the closed captioning on, while listening to the show. It was about space and the possibility of life in other solar systems (the whole Drake's equation) and it was unbelievebly fascinating. At times it was almost like they were synch'd up.

Mike's a little too smart for his own good. Methinks he's been spending his free time going through magazines looking for messages to Soviet operatives.

Mike is one of the best, most original radio guests/personalities in a long time, on any show. A terrific dynamic.
I agree w/ Mojo that you should really be more of a regular.

Great show!
I have a question for Mike. Mike, have you read anything on Emoto's water experiemts, if so, what do you think? Do you really think thoughts can have pyhscial effects on reality?
Mike Teacher

Thanx again Gypsy, and I'll say no, but I just Googled Emoto and got a bunch of pages, and the first I looked at looks *real* interesting.
I'll check it out and get back to you in another thread, coz if this one doesnt die soon, i feel like its just a 'dig me' thing every time i'll post in it. Ack.
Do you really think thoughts can have pyhscial effects on reality?
Wonderful. And Yes, without Question. Yes. Thats the short answer.
Oh Dear.
=
We perceive the world through our senses. These senses let in some stuff and dont let in others, if it all let in *everything* we'd nuts, or the brain doesnt work well unless it filters stuff out, whatever, we dont know why but it does...
And different people filter out different stuff; hence they *Let In* different stuff.
Example, and this is a cool experiment, its one of many "Stop" experiments. But if you stop now and start to listen, you will hear something: the computer fan, the crickets outside, noise of a neighbor, cars, whatever. And it was there the Whole Time but in a Real way it Was Not because it was Utterly tuned out. The fan and crickets are for me, what I am hearing now, and before, if someone had said 'Did you hear that?' Id be like, Heard What?'
Ugh that was long, but I want to get this across: Lets assume there is Indeed ONE reality. Even if that is so, the filtering above means different peeps are gonna see, hear, smell, taste, touch and a dozen other senses, Differently. And all of this, the sum total of what You or I let into our worls, makes it, in a Very REAL way, *that* person's Real World.
Fucking MTV. Sorry.
=
Next step, this is where Ron should cut in and say, "You're High". Not yet.
So If we can agree on that then the next step is; How we Perceive our World determines how we Act in our World. Again, lets assume in all one REALITY [a bad assumption, but it simplifies this horrific post], but different people will react differently, and once we get into people actions, the next step: How we Act in our World Changes our World, is the final step in this syllogism.
That sounds haughty and philosophical and perhaps dead wrong but I believe in it strongly. We are our perceptions and actions, and these effect everything, in the future, and yes, in the past.
Dont get me started in that direction, literally.
my head hurts.

I found this out during a break on Wed!
I missed this; and I will do my best to get my ass back down there, but friday = traffic hell, and Wed the beltwat is fine until you hit VA, and then it's a fucking wall, all the way down that bloody Rt. 50 or whatever. I was four miles away from the studio at 7pm; i arrived at 7:40. Ugh.
Can SOMEONE explain to be what the BB thing is all about? since Ive never ever Seen Big Bro, much less any other show except for the first season of Survivor.
Help!
and Mikeyboy indeed looks Nothing like that guy in the picture under his name. I'm trying to think of who Mikeyboy looks like, coz in my universe everyone looks like someone else, usually an actor.

I think you're going to get locked in a closet with a bunch of people. And you vote people out. I don't think there is anything more to it than that. But then I don't watch big brother either.
