Thank Christ.
This is pretty goddamn exciting WC race in the NL. Cubs, Astros and Giants are all neck and neck for it. The Cubs and the Giants have good teams to play for their final games...Cubs and the Braves, Giants and the Dodgers. Astros lucked out by pulling ahead now when they only have to finish up against the Rockies. I mean, if they just swept the near-unbeatable Cardinals, how much trouble are those mountain-hugging mooks gonna give them?

I don't wanna hear it.
Come back when you've watched the your left-fielder make the worst throw home in NLCS history that lead to 2 runs scoring, and a 1 point loss that would mark the last time your team would have a winning record for at least 13 straight seasons. Oh yeah, and also watch as that left fielder moves out west, blows up, and hits 700 fucking home runs. Yeah, until then, stop whining.

That hasn't seemed to matter much, seeing as how they will finish the 2004 season with 100+ wins (the Cards are the only other team in baseball who will do this). They've also proven that they can beat the Boston Red Sox at home and on the road. They've also beaten the Minessota Twins the last two games, going up against Santana in one of those two games.
The Yankees' starting pitching may not be stellar, but they have one of the best (if not THE best) bullpens in baseball, and an INSANE offensive lineup. This doomsday "no pitching" theory against the Yankees has been nothing but shut down all throughout the regular season.

The playoffs are a whole different story. Be prepared to hate your yankee middle relief. Felix Heredia is sure to hear an onslaught of boos while the yanks are still in the playoffs.

I would be SHOCKED to see Heredia on the playoff roster. That'd be almost as dumb as the Red Sox bringing up B.K. Kim... oh, wait.

You don't get to play the Devil Rays a hundred times in the playoffs. Nor do you get to face everyones number 1+2s throughout.
Yanks will get knocked out 1st round if its Minnesota or Anaheim.
If it's Oakland, Yankd win.
