Hey guys, I know I am new to the message boards. I don;t want to start anything, but I have a BIG question. What was the deal with Dan from Hoboken the other night? He had a sour puss look on his face, and walked around like he was some sort of big shot. I hear him on the air all the time, on both O&A and R&F, but he ain't no celebrity. Am I missing something? Should I have asked for his autograph since he is a star too?

And from what I heard, he started rumors about us getting kicked out of Scruffy Duffy's for causing trouble. I was there, I don't remember getting kicked out of anywhere. We were all having a great time. Again I ask, did I miss something?

PEACE!

Dan is even more impressive in person than on the radio. He is not a gregarious, life-of-the-party, lamp shade on his head type, but rather a quiet, introspective dude. I don't recall ever meeting a more gentle soul.

Maybe you misread his quietness for stand-offishness, but I did not get that impression at all.

Dan, you kick ass, bro.

Thanks again, WWFallon. You are an American hero.

Dan from Hoboken may be a cool guy under normal circumstances, but on Friday he appeared to not want to be there. It seemed to me like he made an obligatory appearance. I hope I am wrong, he seems like he can be a cool dude. I was just voicing my opinion.

PEACE!

It was my time of the month. Sorry.

Trust me, my standofishness had absolutely nothing to do with me thinking I am some sort of celebrity. Probably more like the opposite.

I had alot of shit going on and had a really long and bad day. Sorry. I'm also very shy and introverted in general. Sorry if I dissappointed you.

Time to go take my Paxil.

And from what I
heard, he started rumors
about us getting kicked out
of Scruffy Duffy's for causing
trouble. I was there, I don't
remember getting kicked
out of anywhere. We were
all having a great time.
Again I ask, did I miss
something?

I don't know about Friday
night (I was only at hooter's
around 11), but Scruffy
Duffy's doesn't seem to like
customers. I went there
with a group of about 20
people. Not only were we
half the people in the bar
two weeks in a row, but we
were a little rowdy. The
owner got in my friend's
face and told his that he
wanted us to leave and not
come back.

A gentleman I met Friday
night went in there on day
with all his equipment from
work. (If you're on this
board, sorry dude, don't
remember what you do, just
that you were a union
worker) They kinda just
looked at him and said "oh,
you're one of those," trying
to make him uncomfortable
and leave.

Nice way to run a business.

Look...you obviously don't know Dan and maybe next time you should keep your opinions to yourself. Dan is a shy person and is the sweetest guy I know...I treated him like shit Friday and I am the biggest asshole in the world..maybe thats why he wasnt in a good mood..Either way, NOONE owes you an explanation...

And who ever said he was a celebrity? Certainly not him...You obviously don't know him at all

I meant no disrespect...I know nobody owes me an explanation, and I am not bashing anyone on here. As a matter of fact, I couldn't believe how cool everyone was in person.

I was just asking a question. Please forgive me.

PEACE!

Yo, Mad Dogg! I just want to formally extend my own olive branch of peace. This board is a great place, filled with some really great people, and we tend to watch each others backs very closely. When someone perceives something akin to an attack, we jump to the defense of that person. It's a good thing, trust me. I hope you understand, and don't think we're all a bunch of belligerent schmucks. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Some of the philosophical debates we get into from time to time here can get pretty heated, but the one thing the mods will not tolerate is personal attacks. As Heckler said, you are always free to contact the person you have a problem with via e-mail or IM, if they have chosen to post such information. Just click on the little white rolodex thingy on the left under the Big Ass card number.

I can only speak for myself, but the fact that you asked for forgiveness is good enough for me, and you got it.

See you around the campus.

Boo Hoo!! Dan wasn't nice to you. Poor Baby. Suck it up "Madd" Dog, if that's your real name?

"Man, you go through life, you try to be nice to people, you struggle to resist the urge to punch'em in the face, and for what?! For some pimply little puke to treat you like dirt unless you're on a team. Well, I'm better than dirt...well most kinds of dirt. I mean, not that fancy, store-bought dirt. That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff."

Hiya, Circus Girl. We met, but very briefly. We probably all had a tad too much to drink that night. Hopefully we all make the next one and go a little lighter on the bottle.

Then again, nah.

Although I was unable to attend this get together, I plan to attend the next. In the interum, hugs for all.

Remember people that although this was a festive occassion, it was based on a tragedy never before experienced in America.

Even if one were to argue, without conceeding, that Dan may have been a little standoffish, in light of the events of the last few weeks, who could blame him?

We are all still trying to assimilate what happened and our losses.

Dan, I look forward to seeing you the next time out.
