Bill O'Reilly on the Daily Show

Surprised to see him on the show after the whole "stoned slackers" thing (research showed Bill's audience more likey to be stoned slackers according to cnn. (http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/TV/09/28/tv.stewart.oreilly.ap/) Fox News disn't report this but they still have the transcipt of Jon on Bill's show here (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,132946,00.html) Where Bill reports on his research:


STEWART: What am I, a Cheech and Chong movie? Stoned slackers?

O'REILLY: Come on, you do the research, you know the research on your program.

STEWART: No, we don't.

O'REILLY: Eighty-seven percent are intoxicated when they watch it. You didn't see that?

STEWART: No, I didn't realize that.

O'REILLY: Yeah, we have that there.

STEWART: We come on right after, I believe, puppets that make crank calls...
)

Anyway, Bill was actually pretty good on the Daily show. He even made a joke about the "stoned slackers" comment: "You know I was stoned when I said that!"

He claims he's undecided about who he'll vote for.

John Stewart has the best talk show on TV right now.

Letterman should retire and hand that pathetic show to Stewart. Letterman sucks now.

I saw that last night. John Stewart was as always,very funny. I think O'Reilly is a dick and thats exactly how he came off on the show.

Im sure John Stewart would be great on a Letterman-type show but the Daily Show is so good that I wouldnt want him to leave.

O'Reilly has been making the rounds, even doing a very boring "60 Minutes" interview where he also claimed to be undecided.

I caught a little bit of his show yesterday and listened to his regrets about the war in Iraq, and the build up to go into it, and all of that, but if you listen closely you still hear the white house spin coming out of his flapping head.

I did find it interesting that John Kerry was recently quoted as saying he like Bill O'Reilly and that he would love to do his show sometime.

I wonder what Jack Mahoffer from Springfield has to say about this???
