View Full Version : Could a Clone Beat an Original?

Think about it. All a clone is is a copy of the original meaning the clone is only as strong and smart as the original at birth. So if a clone could be made and "wake" quickly. Would the clone be able to defeat the original?

Are we talking movie clone or real-life clone? I think anyone should be able to take their baby self.

How about a clone of a bear? I say no animal can beat a bear clone.

As a clone is only a genetic copy, the organism with more fighting experience and training will beat the lesser experienced and trained one.
Clearly in the case of clones, nurture wins out over nature.

I don't think we have to worry about Clones. They're still just Sci-Fi plot to us for now.
The REALISTIC threat is from EVIL TWINS!!!AAAAAA!!
With their Eye Patches, Scars on the cheek, and Mustaches! LOOK OUT! And always 2 staps ahead of their "good" counterparts.

I agree with HK, in that nurture is stronger than nature in this case. It kind of ends the argument, b/c even in the case of parallel universe copies of yourself, again, only the one with more training and/or intelligence in the area of fighting would win. But it would be great to see two clones playing a game of Jenga. Or Pizza Party.

Well, let's take a look at an important historical example... He-Man's clone, Faker, was exactly like him, but almost kicked his ass. Finally, of course, He-Man prevailed, but it was a close one. So does that mean that if you're super strong, the only person that can kick your ass is yourself? But wasn't Faker just made to beat He-Man? And He-Man already had all that training... how did Faker get so damn good? If the Professor could make a radio out of coconuts, why couldn't he just make a CB radio and contact someone to get them off that damn island? Why couldn't he fix the hole in the boat??? Oh my. I need a beer.

I think clone because the clone will already know all your moves and can use new one's on you never known by you.............
Who's got a little text under his name?I do! :-)

LAURA - You're describing a different situation here.
Faker was not a clone of He-Man but an duplicate in external appearance only, animated and inbuded with special powers by the evil magic of Skeletor, thus assuring his He-Man-like fighting abilities.
It was only through the good graces of Sorceress and Man at Arm, (and lets not forget Battle Cat) that He Man was able to emerge victorious, showing us impreshionable kids that once again the forces of goodness and niceness triumphed over the forces of evil and meaness.
And now a word from our sponser...

LARA - Perhaps the animators ran out of the realistic He-Man flesh tones! (And we needed some way to tell them apart!)
