<a href="http://www.proflowers.com/cfm/productSelection.cfm?occasionID=BSD">Boss's day is this week</a>

Since when do we have this holiday? Does a boss really need a designated day when everyone has to kiss ass every single day anyway?

Everyone in my office is taking their boss out to lunch on Thursday to celebrate. Luckily, my bosses don't work out of this office. Oh, notice how I said "bosses"? Yes, I have 8 bosses. And none of them are getting shit for bosses day.

It's been around for a long time:

BACKGROUND & HISTORY
National Boss Day began in 1958 when Patricia Bays Haroski, then an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield, Ill., registered the holiday with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Haroski's purpose was to designate a day to show appreciation for her boss and other bosses. She also hoped to improve the relationship between employees and supervisors. She believed young employees often do not realize the challenges bosses face in running a business.

Ms. Haroski chose Oct. 16, her father's birthday, as the date for National Boss Day because she felt he was an exemplary boss.

National Boss Day has become an international celebration in recent years and now is observed in countries such as England, Australia and South Africa.

Hallmark first made National Boss Day cards in 1979.

The boss said for National Boss Day, "Take the day off!" Then I found out it is on Saturday. What a crock...

Consequently, November 14, Ms. Haroski's birthday, is now known as National Brownoser Kiss-Ass Day.

My boss is awesome, he deserves a day of his own. He just paid for me to be in Dallas at a 5-star Hotel for 3 days and all food and bev's. The way I figure it is, he gives me way more money than my secretary and she gets a day. Anyone that is willing to pay me deserves something. He may be reading this!

I heard of it for the first time at my first job out of college. We actually got him a gag gift and a real gift. Then he fired me. I'll never celebrate that shit again.

Where are you staying Stickyfingers? The Windham-Anatole? It's so freaking nice there. You'll like Dallas, it's much better than Houston.

Fuck you humps.

I'm a boss, and if I don't get enough tribute on Boss' Day, I'm blaming it on the bad vibes you goddamn ingrates are sending out.

Nice pick-up...I don't know if he does but I remember a disturbing post by I think BrownTown and I don't want to end up on the welfare

Yeah, it was 2 weeks ago. We stayed at the Wyndham Anatole and it was spectacular. I was only able to go out 1 night. It was Monday Night and the Cowboys were playing but at Washington. So I got in a random cab and told the guy to take to any sports bar in Dallas. After he milked me for about 15 minutes going to all parts of the city we ended up at a place called Frankie's. Dallas seemed cool and I've never met a person from Texas that I didn't like.
