It's a good sign that you spelled it wrong, "Klington" but it's bad that you knew about this link.
I call it a wash on the nerd scale.
It's not really a language, right? They just made up enought for the few lines in the movies/show, right?

it's purely subjective, but those that care enough about it treat it as a 'real' language ... the other 99.999999999% percent of the western world just point and yell, "NERD"

I know how to spell Klingon. It was a typo.
What I was referring to was this:
There was an attempt by a male Trekkie to raise a child bilingually in English and Klingon; it was decided that the father would speak in Klingon and the mother would speak in English. A few years into its life, the child began rejecting Klingon and gravitating towards English. Klingon had lacked any words for things that were important in a baby's life, such as "diaper" and "pacifier". At the time, it even lacked words for many objects common around the house, such as "table".
I thought that was funny.

being a trekkie is a niche subculture onto itself, then you add another sub-faction with the klingons ...
i find the sociological aspects of these people fascinating ... how disenfranchised from everyone else do have to be to seek solace in a subculture of a subculture ...?
are there any other aspects of life where we can find this behavior ...?
do religious factions count ...? are mac enthuisasts of this mindset ...?

Less people should dress up as klingons. More women should dress up as Seven of Nine and Counselor Troi.
Jeff and Missy's wedding will have the toast made with Romulan Ale or Prune Juice.

Are you sure about that? Most of the women who go to these conventions don't look like Jeri Ryan. Maybe Jerry Van Dyke, or Buddy Ryan, but not Jeri Ryan.

You'd be surprised. Sci-Fi girls who go to cons, especially ones in big cities (New York, LA, etc) have gotten increasingly hot.
I've seen a TON of female Star Wars fans who are hot. Granted, there are a ton who are fucking trainwrecks, and they make up a good majority, but there are a good portion who are hot.
Buffy:TVS fans are also very hot. Who knew?
Female Trek fans are hit or miss. Depends.
EDIT: I should point out that one of the best looking members of this board is a big-time game geek.
EDIT, part 2: About that female Trek fan thing? Yeah, my girlfriend just clobbered me over the head after reading that. I kinda forgot.
