Who is this "they" that you're referring to? It all comes down to local and state elections, so I'm assuming you mean the voters in Mass and Texas? Or are you referring to the Primary voters? But wait, Bush being the incumbant ran uncontested, so, did you expect the Republican party to say, "Oh he didn't work out, guess we'll put someone else in?"

If you hate both Kerry and Bush, ask yourself, "Did I do my part in making sure a joker didn't get elected?"

come on now. why couldn't the dems offer a better candidate? the lesser of 2 evils yet again.

i am very unimpressed w/ both candidates. i am very confident in a multi-party system.

my whole outlook on the next 4 yrs is that both of these candidates are cut from the same cloth.

They offered several different candidates. Off the top of my head there were Sharpton, Wesley Clark, Edwards, Howard Dean, Joe Lieberman and , of course, John Kerry. Each very different in his own way. Those who bothered to vote in the primaries chose John Kerry.
