Ever been evacuated cuz of a bomb threat?

Today I was evacuated out of class because of a bomb threat. By Stevens Tech is a small park, and apparently the garbagemen thought they found a pipebomb in one of the cans. So a cop comes right into class, says "Sorry folks but we need you outside cuz we think there's a possible pipebomb in the park". We, of course, get out shit together and get the fuck outta the building, and were placed behind a bunch of caution tape.

Sorta scares you, but the cool thing is that I got a 100 on a quiz cuz of this. Any of you ever have to be evacuated from wherever you were cuz of a bomb threat?

When the whole Anthrax thing was goign on Post 9-11, I was actually kept IN my building.

I was working on wall Street for J.P.Morgan and some oen came on the speaker and said

"no one leave your floor, get in an elevator or use the stiars. Remain at your desk until further notified"

I am not sure if they told us right then it was a bomb or after (well it was not a bomb, but a suspicious package).

people started to freak and my boss (a woman) had like a panic attack and was basically uncontrollable. Very scary times.

Happened at my highschool 3 or 4 times a year.

Right after 9/11 when I was still working for MasterCard, we got a few ones and were evacuated, including the fire alarm going off and a voice announcing "This is not a drill, evacuate the building immediately".

Fun Times.

We actually got locked IN our building last week. Apparantly there was a road rage/shooting incident on Rt. 78 and the person ran into the woods and onto Lucent property. Our property manager came over the loudspeakers and told us to stay inside (after I was already outside going to another building) because there was a police investigation complete with helicoptors. Cool but scary since I was unprotected.







We have evacuation drills every couple of months and I get to yell into a bullhorn at people.

we got an extra day to study or write that paper ...

At my summer job with the govt and they thought it was a bookbag bomb but it was some dick's laundry

When I was going through LPN school at Fort Bliss we were evacuated from the barracks at three in the morning because of a ferret threat.

Apparently they found out about one of the soldiers who had gotten a pet ferret.

Amazingly, they were never able to find it, even after three hours of searching.
