View Full Version : Good things about W

Okay, I hate to start yet another Bush thread. This isn't a place to bash Bush. I've done some of that in other threads. But I'd like to go at it from another angle.
What I'd really like to do here is hear from the Pro-Bush folks about the good things W has done in his first 4 years that I'm not giving him credit for. I'm not joking around or being sarcastic. I'd like to have something good to hold on to for the next 4 years.
Please no Bush Bashing, there's other threads for that. He is now our elected president. I'd like to find out why I should have voted for him.
Thank you.

He is trying to improve the nations educational system with things like "No Child Left Behind"

Cool, that sounds good. So how is he doing it? More of our Tax money goes toward Education, rather than where it was going before?
There's one reason so far.

I really would like to keep this thread serious. I'm sure he wasn't elected just because of "No child left behind"

Good thing about Bush?
Well, he really makes me laugh when he makes that monkey face!

I really don't want to bash Bush but he is not a steward of the land. Please read "Crimes against Nature" by RFK Jr. He says it much better than I could ever attempt to say it.

I don't even know if I can buy the "He is a hard worker" contention.
Have you ever reviewed his professional history?
He hates gays, and that's apparently a good thing in most of the country.

Hey, if it's okay with the majority of the people, it must be morally correct. Right?

I will also add that he sticks to his beliefs and opinions, regardless of what others think. He is not a flip flopper.

I will give you that one.
Though I don't think it's a horrible thing to admit mistakes or have to change your mind once and a while.

I meant for this thread to be about the good things he's done as president. What makes him a good leader? Why is it good that he's Commander in Chief? There are a lot of "Nice Guys" that should not be president.
Please stick to things that make him a good person to lead the Executive Branch of our Government.
Thanks

A lot of people like the tax cuts. I'm not sure if they're good but there's a significant portion of people who do think so.

Okay, okay, I'll be nice. To be truthful. I think he would be kinda fun to hang out with, have a BBQ and shoot off a shotgun or two.
But, I must really dislike the guy, cause I can't find anything I like about the way he governs.

Maybe what I'm trying to say is that he does he a little bit of charisma, which helps him be an effective leader.

Yes, the same one, but he still has a message about dismantling the enviro regs that have given us clean air and water for the last 30 years.

One day people will not fear nuclear reactors and we can have some cleaner fuels.

He follows through on things he says he's going to. Whether people agree with him or his policies or not, he does do what he says he will.

Like it's been said, the guy's not afraid to make a decision and stick to it until the bitter end. He's very decisive.
In terms of his personal life, that he was able to conquer years of addiction is something that always impresses me, be it the president of the United States, or the crazy old guy living down the street.
