So I am planning this really good thanksgiving party for my hubby and all of our friends. I have never done this on my own and there is this one recipe that I cannot find on www.foodnetwork.com so I look up the phone number of the chef that created it and left a message on her voicemail. (It sounded like her, I hope it was the right number) I sounded stupid but cordial I left my name, number and email addy... do you think she will call back?
Also does anyone have a recipe for cranberry fruit conserve? or something close to it that involes real cranberries not jelly?
Just in case I made an ass of myself.

I've used this recipe before for a Cranberry Compote (http://staging.foodtv.com/foodtv/recipe/0,6255,13908,00.html). It's very good.
So wait, you actually called the Barefoot Contessa at home?? Her number is listed?

Ok, I know she is a busy woman, so I understand having her assistant write to me. But how lame is this answer to my call for help? read on...
Dear Sarah,
Thanks so much for your telephone call. We were sorry that we missed speaking to you.
I believe the recipe you are looking for is 'Cranberry Fruit Conserve'. It is available in Ina's cookbook, Barefoot Contessa Parties!. You can find it in any bookstore or at Amazon.com.
Enjoy your first Thanksgiving as a "married lady"!
Warmest regards,
Barbara Libath
Assistant to Ina Garten

Is this it:
Title: Cranberry Conserve
Categories: Christmas, Fruits, Gifts, Relish
Yield: 5 servings

2 c Brown Sugar; Firmly Packed
24 oz Cranberries; Fresh, *
2 tb Orange Peel; Grated
4 ea Oranges; Peeled & Chopped
2 ea Apples; Cored,Pared &Chopped
1 c Nuts; Chopped
* Use 2 packages (12 ozs each) of fresh cranberries. There should
be 6
cups of cranberries.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++
++
Mix the water with the brown sugar in a Dutch oven and heat to
boiling. Boil for 1 minute. Stir in the remaining ingredients except
the nuts and heat to boiling. Boil rapidly until the cranberries pop
and mixture thickens, about 20 minutes. Stir in the nuts.
Immediately pour into sterilized jars or glasses or freezer

room temperature. Refrigerate or freeze no longer than 3 months.
Makes about 5 half pints of conserve.
