Well.. I had a schedules court appearance this morning in Newark (Green St.) Court for a moving violation. I went thiere with my buddy (who happens to be an attorney) and we wait in the room with a bunch of ghetto, dreadlocked+ cornrolled youths. My name wasn't called so we go up the the lady announcing names and , with an attitude, says "Sir, your not scheduled to appear", although my fine says todays date + time.

We go to another room and wait. My friend decided to go the another court room to clarify the situation and it turns out that the cop didn't give notice that I had to go in. Well, we recheduled and I have to go back on Dec. 3. We wasted time + parking fee for nothing.

Did something similar ever happen to you?

When I was 18 I tried to buy beer in a Jersey shore liquor store. There was a cop in plain clothes behind the cash register for the very reason of busting minors. Anyway, he asked me for my I.D. and I started chuckling and was arrested. In court, I wore a nice suit and brought a briefcase to represent myself. I said, "Your honor, I'm 18....so I'm not a minor and can go to war, vote in elections, and go to prison....But I am a minor who cannot buy beer??? Now, I don't know about you, Your Honor, but to me that spells "H"-"Y"-"P"-and the rest of the letters that make up the word hypocrisy!!"

.....................he threw the book at me: $600 fine and 100 hours of community service...........all for a twelve-pack of Schlitz....
