View Full Version : Savage backs out of TNA...already

This is all according to BackstageWrestling.com

Savage gave his notice to TNA today. The plan for Victory Road's main event was supposed to be Savage, Styles, and Monty Brown vs. Jarrett and the Outsiders in a six man tag main event. Savage's reason for leaving was that he didn't think TNA had a good enough security backstage and didn't feel safe.

Yea, and the whole lack of security and the fact that he didn't feel safe was because they let Hulk Hogan in the back. Savage talks a good game, but backs down when face to face with Hogan. How pathetic.

And, just a hint Jarrett, you idiot, if you're going to plan big storylines around people, HAVE THEM SIGN A F-ING CONTRACT. Moron, You think they'd learn after Hogan did the same thing last year.

What if Hogan takes his spot. I read he was in contact with the Jarretts before this past ppv.

I bet if Hogan can get his daughter to sing god bless america in the contract he'll do it.

I take that Hogan shit back. Bring back Sting to replace Savage. Big name and is better in the ring then Hogan and Savage combined at this point. Worked before, doesn't seem to have that big of an ego. Still entertaining and can shill his dvd too.

The first time Sting had a match at TNA, the 1 year show the entire crowd was eletric. They stood for the whole match. They poped for the hot tag to Sting. Don't you dare tell me that the Stinger brings nothing to the table.

Out of Sting,Hogan,Macho; Sting can move better then, has less of an ego, has more energy, and will job if needed. Nuff said.

He's gone again. He wanted the NWA belt from Jarrett and they didn't want to deal with his bull shit any longer. It's sad when the Macho Man is demanding the belt insted of putting jj over.

With that said who do you think should get the tital shot next month? I wish Raven could, but i'm not holding me breath. Maybe Monty, DDP.

I'm rooting for the Alpha Male, I just wish they'd let him have more developed matches.

I thought bringing Savage in was one of the worst decisions they've made. At least when DDP wrestled he performed better than people expected. Savage came in, threw a few punches, and rolls up Jarrett and then expects to win the NWA Heavyweight Championship.

I hope that Dusty books AJ Styles in the title matches soon since he is the new booker and is apparently doing a good job. Just look at what he did with the X-Division six man tag and X Title match. Each one built a story just like they should as well as still be entertaining.

i thought this wasn't allowed in wrestling anymore....all of this material could build the post count in the TNA fans thread you made.

I thought bringing Savage in was one of the worst decisions they've made. At least when DDP wrestled he performed better than people expected. Savage came in, threw a few punches, and rolls up Jarrett and then expects to win the NWA Heavyweight Championship.

The DDP match was decent-to-good, based upon what I've heard, and that was likely because it followed the usual DDP script (which has always been used as something of a knock on DDP, but hey, if scripting out your matches down to the last detail is what it takes for you to put on a good match, go ahead).

Savage has apparently grown even MORE insane as the years have gone by. Putting the title on him would have been pure and utter insanity on NWA's part. As boring and tired as Jarrett is as champ, he's 100x better than putting the belt on Savage.

I hope that Dusty books AJ Styles in the title matches soon since he is the new booker and is apparently doing a good job. Just look at what he did with the X-Division six man tag and X Title match. Each one built a story just like they should as well as still be entertaining

Dusty still needs to impress me with his booking. Is he going to be better than Jarrett & Mantel? Most likely, but I've nowhere near ready to give him a pass as "doing a good job" - yet.

I would prefer if they just developed there own damn talent than have these old guys come. I kinda like the old guys but only if they sign contracts for a year or two.

That's the problem, though - through bad booking (largely on the part of Jarrett and Dutch Mantel), they haven't been able to build up ANY of their own talent, outside of a few guys like Style and AMW and Killings.

P.S Sting Stinks

Sting doesn't stink.

And no, he's not with TNA.

Sting's pretty much set for life on all of the money he made with WCW, so he doesn't need to work in the business anymore.
