Al Dukes Has a New Job

If you've been listening to the show recently, you might be aware that Al lost his position in management at Infinity. In fact, he was down in DC interviewing with XM last week. I just found out that Al has a new position within Infinity. Starting Monday, Al will be producing Booker's (http://krockradio.com/bios/local_bio_274140449.html/) 2-6pm show on K-Rock in NYC.

Cane was indeed from Minneapolis and a huge Vikings fan. One of the reasons he didn't do weekend shifts during the fall is because he was a Vikings season ticket holder and went home for every home game.

Cane was fired for a lot of issues, the straw that broke the camel's back was for showing up late for a Metallica interview.

He is still featured on ESPN's Cold Pizza.

If he wasn't drunk or defending himself, he was a nothing on air.

The same can be said for his performance at K-Rock except Booker isn't doing a comedy show. Bland, ads nothing.

I wish the man well because he was part of the Ron and Fez show when it was still the show I loved, but I can't listen to him on K-Rock.

The show is your standard "Few minutes of talk between songs" instead of a DJ just talking about something stupid up until the vocals kick in on a song. But you can tell it's pre-recorded and it's just supposed to be irreverent, off the cuff feeling and they hope it doesn't sound like they're totally sticking to their script. They want it to be funny, but it's not even close to being the Ron and Fez format that Dukes used to be part of.

Plus as I tried to explain and ADF said, the station sucks out loud.

They're the local station that gets Papa Roach tickets if that helps. Some heavier stuff, mostly pussy shit and whiney, emo sounding wanna be metal that makes me penis hurt and almost fall off.

I can't tell you how much I reall HATE this station, but I seem to always flip by it because I might catch the STP or Nirvana song they throw in there to keep people listening. NYC has NO GOOD MUSIC STATIONS!

I listen to Krock while working because my car's cd player broke and I was too lazy to go out and buy a new one. I have to honestly say, Booker's show might be the most intolerable garbage on radio. He just strikes me as an incredibly cheezy character who tries way to hard to be like a soft lame shockjock. The man is no more shocking or entertaining than Elvis fucking Duran.

For the most part, when people tune into Krock it's to hear music, yes I understand the majority of it is terrible but that's besides the point. Besides Q104.3 and SOU there just isn't anything out there, but you tune into Krock during his show now and it's one song then Booker talking about absolutely nothing for 15 minutes. Every single word that comes out of Booker's mouth while he's on the air is a pathetic attempt to try and look edgy and somehow impress listeners.

I fucking know Good Charlotte sucks, and I'm not impressed by you subtly insinuating that you feel the same way while not having the balls to come out and say it because your GM will tear you a new asshole.

<p>Al was on R&amp;F again last night (by phone). They had to call him
up because a few weeks ago, when Giant Brian interviewed for De Bella
up in Philly, he was surpried to find out that the one thing DeBella
knew about Ron and Fez was that their old producer, Al Dukes, was a
freak.</p><p>It was pretty funny. Al had no idea why they wanted to talk w/ him last night. </p><p>I
did miss the reason why DeBella knew Al - it sounded like a few months
ago that Al interviewed for a job with him, and then just came across
as creepy and weird, and to make matters worse submitted a tape of him
having a meltdown on R&amp;F as an example of his work!</p><p>Can someone clarify?</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
