John Carpenter's The Fog

Dawn of the Dead remake right now; not as good as hoped, but I just wanna have arms like Ving Rhames; holy shit those are some guns.

Flash Gordon played at the Sommerville, NJ theatre when it came out so me and my other friends-with-no-lives trucked down maybe 4 or 5 times to see it; Ming the Merciless was cool; but the problem is I mix that movie up with Dune in my head.

That's one of my favorite movies of all time.

Honestly. I've seen it........probably 50 times, OR MORE. I'm not even exaggerating.

I suppose you'd have to consider it a guilty pleasure because it's more of a cult flick, but really, I think it's too good to be a guilty pleasure.

Yeah, I'd consider BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA really too good to be guilty pleasure.

I've got a lot of bizarre cult films that I love (John Waters, Paul Bartel, Russ Meyer, not to mention all of those 1950s sci-fi flicks), but I guess one that I'm actually ashamed that I like is SHAKES THE CLOWN, although I still find it funny as hell and really won't apologize for it.

CABIN BOY also.

When I worked at the AFI Theater at the Kennedy Center in Washington, we actually screened SHAKES THE CLOWN when it came out - it's only Washington theatrical screening.

It was only one or two showings, and none of the stars were there, and to be honest not a lot of people showed up, but I made it and laughed like a maniac.

I think the only commercial run it had was in Boston, where both of the local papers gave it great reviews, and one even called it "The Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies."

Bump just to let people know that I'm so addicted to this movie, I had to go through 1 gig of data just to "acquire" the Flash Gordon soundtrack.

Liz is also trying to convince me to see "We Will Rock You" in Vegas.

It's weird, I didn't know how many Queen fans are in my family. Myself, Liz, my sister-in-law, Liz's mom and stepdad.
