Robin leaving wouldn't really hurt the show more. Artie, Fred and Gary are the only staff needed.

No, She's not leaving Howard. Just taking a side gig. (straight from the Fox News G-Zone!)

Are the rest of Stern's Staff signed up to go to Sirius?

Uggggh....this is going to be a train wreck.
Talk Shows are nearly impossible to get right. Maybe one sticks every two seasons. THis is the kind of thing Howard and her have made fun of for years.
She should try and find a sit-com to play a recurring role on - I think she could be good in something like that. And I'm not even thinking of those typical ones, but even something smart like "Arrested Development," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" or maybe she can play Turk's mother or crazy aunt on the "Scrubs."
Her time to strike was 7 or 8 years ago, after her book came out and there was still some heat (whatever it was worth) around her. I don't doubt that she could do as good a job as anyone out there, but come on - it's a recipe for disaster.

That show would stink. Daytime TV sucks and there are too many shows like this already.

It is the perfect time for her to leave.
My overall favorite part of his show has always been "the news" which is her segment.
She doesn't always add much, but she holds her own.
Her TV show would most likely suck, but to get out from under the shadow of Howie's nose would be worth it.
This would be like Joe Poo hosting TRL.

THe news portion has stunk for years - especially when you compare to what Ron and Fez were able to do with the late great "Fastest Hour," or the Buzzcast on D&M.
I don't know how many times Robin has pissed me off by bypassing real news to play stupid quotes from stupid celebs. I remember when the sniper shit in DC was at it's worst, Robin barely mentioned it, and instead acted like it was news that Ashton Kircher sounds like a fucking moron when talking about his movies.

She's a marginal talent who was in the right place at the right time. How can this possibly work?

It's obvious to me that she will not be following Howard to Sirius...regardless of what she's telling the press now.
I just don't see Robin doing TWO talk shows every day. Not at this point in her career. (her bank account, her work ethic, her age, etc etc...)
It's no coincedence (sp?) that the announcement was made this week: the show is on vacation and the Message Board is down.

you're forgetting her wooden, godawful appearance on 'fresh prince' ... she was horrible in 'private parts' and that silly tv movie ...
just as an awful 'actress' and should ride stern's coattails as long as possible ...

I'm not going to simply bash Robin but...does she really feel like she has any real TALENT?!
She's great in her role as the "voice of reason" on The Stern Show but I dont see how or why a network would wanna give her a talk show.
I'll definitely be watching her show when it premieres. If it's genuinely a good show...fine. If it's the next Chevy Chase Show...even better.

All the stories I've read, talk about her dynamic personality. Are they fucking kidding?
She's a cackling hyena.
How long before she claims to have "invented" talk shows.

from the very few times i have listened to howard of seen the E! show, i do not get the sense she really likes howard all that much. I think she likes the gig, she likes the money and the fame, but i think she just feeds into him so he keeps her around. I think she thinks howard is an an ass most of the time. I also feel that she thinks he over reacts a lot.
just my opinion. also deep down she really thinks she has some journalistic talents.
isn't howard supposed to be doing "serious" interviews on channel 7 for dateline or something? i bet she got pissed when she heard that one

I dunno bout that channel 7 deal, I thought that was to take place a while ago. I disagree on Robin though. I think she gets a fondue in her big brown panties for him.
When he was dating, between Allison and Beth O. she would get very catty with women he took interest in.
I think she wants bonernose's pencildick in her fartbox.
