Supposedly this is so they can hire Urban Meyer from Utah. I think this is a good move for ND. They really need to get back to being a top football program.

i remember his first year, and the panel on 'sports reporters' would rave week after week about his brilliance ...

if i knew anything about football, i could be more profound and insightful ...

will he go back to stanford, since they fired their coach yesterday due to their bad loss to cal-berkeley in the Big Game?

Sad.....yes. Expected....absolutly.

This program needs to return back to the storied program it once was. Everyone is talking about Meyer, and that's all well and good. But me? I want Holtz back. It'll never happen, but that's my man for the job. I grew up watching Lou roam those sidelines in South Bend and nothing would satisfy me more as an Irish fan than to see that happen again.

ESPNews is saying Weis agrees to coach the Irish. I love him, I love the Pats, and I love the Irish. I'm gonna be sad to see him leave N.E. but I'm glad he's going to South Bend, I'm really excited about this move.

Good for him, but I'm going to selfish and wish he'd stay with the Pats. I just hope it doesn't mess the Pats up like when Parcells decided to go to the Jets (I know, the Packers still would have kicked our ass, but).

If we win without him next year it's just going to show how great Belichick is.

Yo lets face the fucking facts. They were a good team under him, 20th and 21st respectively. But then they went 6-5 this season under him and well out of any BCS standings. He wasnt fired for being black, but for being the easy scapegoat on a team that had more than enough to blame for. They sucked this year and he was the scapegoat.
