For about 6 years now I have been suffering from migraine headaches on a pretty regular basis, I know I have posted threads about them before. Just recently they have gotten to the point where I needed to do something. I have been getting them every Monday or Tuesday and I get so sick to the point where I cannot function and then eventually throw up.

I have just been prescribed Imitrex. I have the nasal spray version of it. It took about 20 minutes for the headache to fully go away, the difference in how I feel is like night and day. I am hoping it will work like this every time because I can't handle too much more of them. I reccomend people who get migraines on a somewhat regular basis to have a talk with their doctor to see if it's right for them, you won't regret it. :)

Good luck with it. Fortunately I don't even know what it is like to get a migrane. If it is anything like the rare headache I get, I couldn't even be able to take it. A friend of mine gets them every now and again and I'll have to recommend it.

Just when you think it can't get any worse, U2 puts out another album. Terrible.

I am so glad this helped you. When I talked with you yesterday during your migraine I could tell you were in absolute agony. Hopefully when your prescription runs out you will be able to get more.

i have only gotten a migraine once. for those who do not know if they have or have not had one, you most likely never had. because when you do get one, it is like nothing you have ever had before.

i laid in bed lights off, shades closes and the smallest noise would make me feel like i was going to puke.

Congrats on getting the new meds and i hope they continute to help .

Imitrex is the shit, though I've never used the nasal spray.

I've taken it for 3-4 years and I haven't had a migraine that lasted more that a couple of hours.
Even when I'm already in the aura phase, it works.
